Give Me All The Churros with Meghann Andrew

Hey there, friends! It’s Meghann Andrew with you and I’m here to confess: I love churros. But, I don’t love just any churro, I love Disneyland churros. There’s something about eating that special treat at the happiest place on Earth, and on our last trip, we decided to tackle a big list of holiday churro varieties. Today, I’m sharing how I documented this experience in such a fun way with the Magical Memories Vol. 2 and Title Builder Vol. 6 Simply Magic collections!

Supplies | Magical Memories 3 x 4 inch Journaling Tags, Magical Memories Die Cuts, Magical Memories Vellum Die Cut Shapes, Magical Memories Cardstock Stickers, Magical Memories Label Stickers, Black Parker Alphabet Cardstock Stickers, Magical Memories Heart and Star Puffy Stickers, Magical Memories Puffy Stickers, Magical Memories Puffy Circle Stickers, Magical Memories Paper Stack, Magical Memories Tab Stamp, Magical Memories Vol. 2 Stamp, Title Builder Vol. 6 Simply Magic Simply Magic Stamp, Magical Memories Vol. 2 Metal Die

Have you ever seen a more delicious pocket page spread? I think not! These two collections made this pocket page so fun and easy to put together!

My title tag was the first thing I created with the Title Builder Vol. 6 Simply Magic Simply Magic Stamp, Black Parker Alphabet Cardstock Stickers and the sweet churro found on the Magical Memories Vol. 2 Stamp! I loved creating this bespoke pocket tag that created the perfect way to start off the spread!

This list of churros was the perfect way to record all of the ones that we tried, so I incorporated it into my spread easily using patterned papers from the Magical Memories Paper Stack and a die cut phrase from the Magical Memories Die Cuts.

I stamped colorful churros and added them around the spread using the Magical Memories Vol. 2 Stamp and Metal Die. This one looked so cute when layered with a Magical Memories 3 x 4 inch Journaling Tag, Magical Memories Label Sticker and the “favorite treat” Magical Memories Die Cut.

Since we tried so many different flavors on our trip, I had to document our top three, and this die cut from the Magical Memories Die Cuts was perfect for that. I layered it with more patterns from the Magical Memories Paper Stack, a die cut frame, Magical Memories Vellum Die Cut heart and topped this tag with puffy dots from the Magical Memories Heart and Star and Puffy Stickers.

I could go on about how much I love this pocket page all day, but why not watch me create it instead? Watch this process video to see how the whole spread came together using both of these magical collections!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope that this pocket page has inspired you to record your favorite park treats, too!

Outside of the Pocket with Aurélie Cormier

Hello, everyone! It’s Aurélie here to show you what I’ve been creating lately with the June 2022 kit and add-ons. Since one could easily be fooled to think that the monthly kits can only be used for traditional pocket pages, I am always looking for unique ways to use them. Truth be told, I haven’t done a pocket page, traditional or not, with any of the kits, yet! With this in mind, I’ll be sharing a few tricks with you to make these kits super versatile for all papercrafters!

Supplies | June 2022 KitGame Night Die Cuts, Sky Blue Cardstock Basic Shape Stickers, Summer Cardstock Stickers, Cool Puffy Heart and Star Stickers, Sky Blue Puffy Alphabet Stickers, Stanley Jr. Alphabet Stamp

1. Cut, cut, cut.

Stretch those 3 x 4-inch tags by sandwiching a photo between two pieces of one tag. Slim down those 4 x 6-inch tags by singling out elements that can emphasize your design. Cut strips of tags to create visually-appealing triangular patterns that enable the eye to naturally move across your page(s).

2. Fussy cut!

Where did I find the two-toned stars, you may ask? I fussy-cut them from one of the 3 x 4-inch tags! Fussy-cutting interesting design elements found on pocket tags creates new textures for matching add-on elements. I did the same thing with a few starburst elements I found on another 3 x 4-inch tag, too!

3. Go against a theme!

When you receive your kits and add-ons, try to think of different ways to interpret the kit themes. There are always design elements that can be used for all kinds of memories. This way, you’ll stretch your kits that much further just like I did with the June Kit for some of our first memories with our new puppy, Bill.

We can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with! Please share your projects with us at our Elle’s Studio Facebook Group or on Instagram using the hashtag #ellesstudio!

Celebrating Summer with LeeAnne Jones

Hello, everyone! It’s LeeAnne here with a pocket page spread using the Elle’s Studio June 2022 kit and extras. This set of products is so bright and playful and perfect for capturing summer days: pool time, popsicles, game night, and more!

Supplies | June 2022 KitJune 2022 Printables, Coral Cardstock Label StickersJane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers – Cerulean BlueSummer Cardstock Stickers, Good Times Paper Stack

I still love the Project Life style of scrapbooking. I like telling our family’s story chronologically and documenting moments big and small, serious and silly. Elle’s Studio kits make pocket scrapbooking so easy. You can choose to use only the cool colorway journal tags and embellishments or only the warm ones—or the full rainbow, as I’ve done here—and any choice ends up looking effortlessly cohesive.

If I can’t find the exact physical card for my needs, there’s a good chance I’ll find it in the coordinating digital extras, like this multicolored journal tag from the June 2022 Printables. I love how vibrant it is, and how well it helps tie together the rainbow of color on the page.

I often incorporate Instagram photos (or grids of Instagram photos) in my pocket pages. I love that square shape! I just attach it to a 4 x 6-inch journaling tag or sheet of patterned paper and layer on journaling and embellishments. It adds visual interest and another opportunity for coordinating colors.

Lastly, the title. I’m always changing my approach to this. If there is a journal tag in the kit that speaks to me, I’ll definitely use that. If I have an eye-catching photo with a good amount of white space, I may make a title out of an embellishment cluster and alphas. Or I’ll create my own journal tag with patterned paper, stickers, labels, and more, as I did here. But if I’m being honest, this is just a vehicle for those flip flop stickers. Love!

That’s it! I can’t wait to see how everyone uses the June kit and add-ons in their pocket pages. Happy documenting!

Documenting Magic with Kat Benjamin

Hello, everyone! It’s Kat here, and I am so excited to share my project with you today! We took my daughter to Disneyland for the first time back in October. I had grand plans to get all the memories down in a 6 x 8-inch mini album, but that didn’t quite happen. However, the newest Magical Memories release got me so inspired—it gave me just the push I needed to start documenting!

Supplies | Title Builder Vol. 6 Vellum Die Cut Words, Title Builder Vol. 6 Simply Magic Stamp, Title Builder Vol. 6 Simply Magic Metal Die, Magical Memories Die Cuts, Magical Memories Cardstock Stickers, Magical Memories Cardstock Label Stickers, Black Parker Alphabet Cardstock Stickers, Yellow Jane Alphabet Cardstock Stickers, Magical Memories Puffy Heart and Star Stickers, Magical Memories Puffy Stickers, Magical Memories Puffy Circle Stickers, Magical Memories Paper Stack, Magical Memories Tab Stamp, Magical Memories Vol. 2 Stamp, Magical Memories Vol. 2 Metal Die, Outlined Stars Metal Die

I actually started with memories from day two of our trip. I had this photo of my daughter sitting outside the Disneyland gate that I knew I wanted to blow up and make a focal point of my spread. She was so cute and excited, and the picture coordinated really well with the new products!

For the left side of my spread, I made my Day 2 title page.

I used some of the Title Builder Volume 6 Simply Magic products to make this page.  I definitely love the mix of fonts!

The right side of my spread is where I included the large photo of my daughter. As I said, I wanted this photo to really shine, so I kept the embellishments minimal and just created two small embellishment clusters in the bottom left and top right of the photo.

I even decided to sneak in the tiniest bit of my own handwriting, which I never ever do. I don’t like it very much, but this cute ticket die cut from the Magical Memories Die Cuts convinced me to at least write down what park we were visiting!

Have you dug into the new Magical Memories collection?  We’d love to see your projects, so make sure you share them using the #EllesStudio hashtag on Instagram, or in the Elle’s Studio Facebook Group!

Sincere Sentiments Mixed Media Cards with Jen McMurtrey

Hello, friends! It’s Jen today with card inspiration using the Sincere Sentiments products! This collection is very versatile, and I have used it in so many ways to create cards for friends and family. Let’s take a look at what I put together.

When planning these cards, I knew I wanted to incorporate mixed media into the overall design. To do so, I sprayed white mixed media paper with three colors of oxide ink. This piece was then used to create both cards.

“You’ve Got This” supplies | Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers – Neutrals, Good Times Paper Stack, Sincere Sentiments Wonderful You Stamp, Layered Card Metal Die, My Heart Metal Die

First, is the “you’ve got this” card, which has three hearts made from the painted paper and My Heart Metal Die. Next, I used the smushing method to add gold paint to white cardstock. Once the paint was dry, I adhered the cardstock to the plus sign patterned paper from the Good Times Paper Stack

To complete the card, I adhered the three hearts and stamped the sentiment using the Sincere Sentiments Wonderful You Stamp. Lastly, a few neutral Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers were added.

The second card was created quite quickly by using the painted background beneath white cardstock that had been die cut.

“You Shine Bright” supplies | Gold Puffy Heart and Star Stickers, Layered Card Metal Die, Banners Metal Die, Sincere Sentiments Wonderful You Stamp, Sincere Sentiments Wonderful You Metal Die

When putting this card together, I cut a piece of the painted mixed media paper to fit a 4 ¼ by 5 ½ inch card front. Next, I used the Layered Card Metal Die to cut the white cardstock to fit atop the background and the Sincere Sentiments Wonderful You Metal Die to create the sentiment.

Last, I stamped the “shine bright” sentiment to a banner cut with the Banners Metal Die and adhered it with foam tape. To finish the card, I added Gold Puffy Heart and Star Stickers and twine to give the card more texture.

These two cards came together very quickly with the help of the Sincere Sentiments collection and make a perfect addition to my stash of ready-to-send cards.

Thank you for stopping by today! Remember to post your creations to social media and use the hashtag #EllesStudio so we are sure to see your work!

A Quick and Easy Summer Story with Junell

Happy summer, friends! It’s Junell on the blog today, and if you’re anything like me, my scrapbooking slows down quite a bit in the summer months because of all the busyness with kids and vacations and cookouts! I wanted to show you that you can still get a layout created quickly in just 15-20 minutes to scratch that creative itch this time of year!

Supplies | June 2022 Kit, Summer Cardstock Stickers, Cool Puffy Heart and Star Stickers

I only used three supplies from the June kit and add-ons to create this travelers notebook spread! Limiting your supplies helps save you time, but can still pack a punch! I started by choosing the tags from the June 2022 Kit that I loved and turned them sideways on my page. That left me with a thin white border and not having to spend time trimming them!

I then used the Print to Size app to print my pictures at the exact size to fill the rest of the page up. This app makes that task so quick and easy if you print at home!

I selected another tag to lay on top of the foundation to add my journaling, which was literally one sentence! That’s another way to save time. Stories do not have to be paragraphs long! I rounded the corners to avoid having too many right angles and to soften the look a bit.

Then came the fun part: adding embellishments! The June 2022 Kit has some great summery die cuts to use and the colors coordinate perfectly with the monthly kit tags! I also used the Summer Cardstock Stickers and Cool Puffy Heart and Star Stickers to jazz up my layout. I put them in a line flowing from the bottom left to the top right to draw your eye through the journaling and across the page.

There’s also a visual triangle with the blue color in my sunglasses, the rainbow tag, and the heart on the right side that is very pleasing to the eye.

It did not take me any more than 20 minute to create this spread and I just love it so much! It’s so fun and summery! I hope this inspires you to take a few minutes to create a quick and easy project of your own using the June 2022 Kit and the fun extras!

A Summer Mini Album with Guest Becki Adams

We are so excited to welcome our special guest designer for June to the blog today, Becki Adams! Becki’s designs are truly sensational—full of color, texture, pattern, and interactive elements. Becki always explains her process in a way that makes her projects easy to recreate, and we think that the project she is sharing today is no different! We’re sure it will have you itching to use your June kit and add-ons as soon as your box arrives!

Hello Elle’s Studio friends, I’m Becki Adams, here to share with you a fun mini album that I created with the June 2022 kit and add-ons. I had SO much fun creating with this kit and add-ons to create this fun matchbook mini album. This little album only took about an hour and a half to create. Yes, it is super easy!

I created the base of the album using one piece of white cardstock, measuring 3 1/2” x 11”. Then, I scored at the 4”, 4 1/2”, and 9” marks and folded them all towards the middle, creating a matchbook shape.

Supplies | June 2022 Kit, Game Night Die Cuts, Cerulean Blue Jane Alphabet Cardstock Stickers, Cerulean Blue Cardstock Label Stickers, Summer Cardstock Stickers, Cool Puffy Heart and Star Stickers, Big Smiles Puffy Stickers, Bright Puffy Asterisk Stickers, Good Times Paper StackOutlined Stars Metal DiePocket Tabbed Metal Dies

After I got the base of the mini album cut and scored, the real fun began with the June Kit and The Best Paper Stack and the Pocket Tabbed Metal Dies. I cut out pieces of patterned paper to match all the panels on the base of the album and stitched around the edges with my sewing machine and white thread. Then I cut out 8 pages for the album using patterned paper and the 3 x 4-inch Pocket Tabbed Metal Die

After cutting out all the patterned paper, I laid all eight pages out on my desk and started embellishing. I used SO many fun goodies to embellish these pages including puffy stickers, die cuts, the Outlined Stars Metal Die, tabs, labels, and tags!

Last but not least, it’s time to tie this album together. I clipped everything together exactly how I wanted it. Then, I used my Crop-a-Dile from We R Memory Keepers to punch holes through the bottom of the album. I used eyelets on the front flap of the album to prevent tearing. Then, I threaded a coordinating ribbon through the base of the album and all the pages. The big red bow on the front of the album is what holds everything together. To close the album, you simply tuck the top flap into the bottom flap just above the bow.

This album came together better than I imagined. Don’t you love it when that happens?! After the album was finished, I filmed a video showing how to score and fold the paper and a walkthrough of the entire album! Watch below, and get inspired to try out this mini for yourself!

I’m so grateful to Meghann and Elle for having me as the June guest designer, and I cannot wait to show you the second project I created later this month! In the meantime, I’m excited to see what you’re creating with the fabulous June kit and add-ons. Happy creating, my friends. I’ll see you in a few days here on the Elle’s Studio blog!

Less is More with Suzanna Lee

Hiya, scrappy peeps and Elle’s Studio fans! It’s Suzanna here today to share with you a layout created with mainly the June 2022 Kit. Sometimes I think we get overwhelmed with the choices of ALL the things. Sometimes, we cannot afford all the things. Other times, we cannot justify buying all the things. This layout focuses on using the pocket cards and die cuts in the kit with other add-on elements that are more universal and can be used for many purposes.

Supplies |  June 2022 KitJune 2022 Printables, Sky Blue Cardstock Basic Shape Stickers, Summer Cardstock Stickers, Cool Puffy Heart and Star Stickers, Sky Blue Puffy Alphabet StickersGood Times Paper Stack, Outlined Stars Metal Die,

While this month’s kit and add on’s are very summer and game-focused, you can use those products for so much more! I was able to incorporate many of the summery-themed products on this cat layout of Luna napping. For example, the June 2022 Kit pocket card that says “summer favorites”. Or, as you will see in the close-up below, the “paradise” sticker from the Summer Cardstock Stickers. Anywhere that you can nap, as a cat, is paradise! Doesn’t just have to be a beach.

There are a plethora of stars available both in the kit and in the add on’s this month! I love that generic shape for an embellishment! And to have the outlined star dies that coordinate?! And stamps! Awesome! So many great options; either use the pocket card as is, as I’ve done, or fussy cut it. As I have a white background, the card itself melds into the background and didn’t need fussy cutting.

There’s also the Cool Puffy Heart and Star Stickers AND the Basic Shape Stickers to add even more stars for embellishing, along with other great shapes. Both of these add-on’s will give you lots of bang for your buck. I have used up almost all of the puffy stars already and am going shopping shortly to add another pack to my stash—you can never have enough Elle’s Studio puffy hearts and stars! In all colors!

We’d love to see your projects featuring our kits. Be sure to share them with us at our Elle’s Studio Facebook Group or on Instagram using the hashtag #EllesStudio. As always, thanks for stopping in today!
