June Kit Preview with Melissa Mann

Hello, friends! This is Melissa with you today and I am sharing a preview of what fantastic items will be available for the June release, coming on June 10th at 8 AM Pacific. SO MANY good things are headed your way!

I wanted to put an emphasis on the awesome game-themed products that are available this month and to be honest, I probably never would have scrapped these family game night photos if it hadn’t been for these products. One of our traditions during family holidays is to play games: Taboo, Monopoly, Uno, Dutch Blitz, Scrabble… you get the idea!

To start my project, I layered a bunch of patterned papers from the Adventure Paper Stack horizontally across my cardstock and then I stitched those papers down with my sewing machine. I used watercolors in green and yellow and layered these on the top and bottom of my patterned paper. I loved the little game board stamp in the Game Time Stamp and stamped this on the bottom and top of my layout. 

One of my other favorite items from this release is the Pocket Tabbed Metal Dies. I cut out five of these on various cardstock from the Cool and Warm Solids Paper Stacks and then trimmed them down to fit my small 2″x2″ photos. I layered these across my layout on top of the patterned paper. Each tab was stamped with a sentiment from the Photograph Stamp. 

I had a big block of white space underneath my photos and decided to lay down a bunch of the Coral Cardstock Label Stickers. I then further embellished the stickers by using the Game Night Die Cuts, Cool Puffy Heart and Star Stickers, Summer Cardstock Stickers, and the Sky Blue Cardstock Basic Shape Stickers. I really loved how this embellishment block turned out.

Lastly, I cut out the word “FUN” using the June 2022 Cut Files and then used the cerulean blue Jane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers to create the word “FAMILY” to finish off my title.

I really love how bright and fun this project turned out! I can’t wait to see how you guys will use these new products. Also, I had a goal to use at least one of every new thing that is available and I *almost* achieved that! There are only a few things from this release that I did not include on my layout.

A Rainbow of Tabs with Wei Wei Wang

Hello, Elle’s Studio friends! It’s Wei Wei here with you today sharing a new, colorful layout using the Travel Tabs Stamp along with the May 2022 kit and add-ons.

To begin my layout, I chose the colorful stripes patterned paper and light green notebook texture patterned paper from The Best Paper Stack to use as a base.

I love to embellish with a tone-on-tone technique and the colorful stripes pattern gives a great opportunity to create something fun this way.

The Travel Tabs Stamp is one of the most versatile stamp sets! It works great for layouts, cards, traveler’s notebooks, pocket pages, and more! On my layout, I stamped tabs with a variety of ink colors to coordinate with the colors of pattern paper and placed them on the colored stripes. I adhered some of the tabs with foam dots to add dimension to my layout. 

Next, I did a bit more stamping with the Travel Tabs Stamp and Photograph Stamp onto the tabs. 

To add more interest, I decorated the layout with matching embellishments using the Bright Puffy Asterisk Stickers, the May 2022 Kit tags, Photograph Label Stickers, and Little Banner Stickers. 

I also created my subtitles with the coral Jane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers and Cerulean Blue Puffy Alphabet Stickers. I strictly followed the tone-on-tone method.

I printed my photo and layered it with the light yellow “currently loving” journaling tag and a pink May Label. I used the Nesting Tags Metal Die to cut out a tag and added stamping texture with Travel Tabs Stamp and grey ink. Then, I embellished the photo simply using the Big Smiles Puffy Stickers.

I stamped my title with the Sincere Sentiments Wonderful You Stamp. For the journaling, I stamped the note line from the Photograph Stamp and wrote down my journaling.

To finish off, I tucked grey paper from the Warm Solids Paper Stack under the layout to make it pop against the white background, and used a camera flash from the Photograph Stamp to add neutral flashes to the background. I love the pops of colorful labels paired with the gray! All done!

May Digital Designs with Sarah Kee

Hello, Elle’s friends. It’s me, Sarah, hosting today’s blog post, and I wanted to show you how I stretched the May 2022 kit and add-ons using digital files!

When it comes to creating, Elle’s Studio digital files add so much versatility. They have definitely become some of my favorite products to work with. In the shop, there are cut files, labels, and even printables to choose from. I find that they are a great way to stretch your monthly kits. Products that you can use over and over again?! Yes, please! I’m all for it!

Here’s how I felt inspired:

I started off by printing out a sheet of the May 2022 Printables. I cut out some of the labels to use as tabs on the sides of my photos, as well as some of the 3 x 4-inch tags, which aren’t just for pocket page scrapbooking! I cut one out of the printable sheet to use as a frame around my middle photo. 

Next, I used the May 2022 Cut Files to add color to my layout. I cut out the “SMILE” word and backed it with papers from The Best Paper Stack. I tried to follow the colors of the rainbow to make the colors stand out more. 

After creating my “SMILE” title from the digital cut file, I cut out some cameras and camera flashes in various sizes to embellish my layout. To add color, I used shimmery spray on the cut outs to match with the papers I used.

I wanted to add something underneath my title, so I cut out the “1, 2, and 3” labels from one of the 3 x 4-inch tags in the May 2022 Printables. I added the Cerulean Blue Jane Alphabet Cardstock Stickers and stamped on top using the Home Sewn Stitches Stamp to make it look like I stitched the letters onto my layout.

Don’t forget that using your add-ons can add so much to your project! I used the Photograph Stamp on this layout to dress up my background. I added some of my leftover camera stickers from my Big Smiles Puffy Stickers.

What do you think of these Elle’s Studio digitals?! I had a blast using both the cut files and the printables to get this one done. I love that these files are a great way to expand and stretch your monthly kits, and the best part is—you can use them over and over again!

We love everything about this! On the right, Tina (@tvansplinter) created the perfect birthday layout using products from our Birthday collection, all of which are ON SALE! What a perfect grid layout, Tina! We love all of those confetti explosions!

Pocket pages were everywhere on the hashtag this month, and we loved these two! ON the left, @scrappbook_girl created this pretty red, pink and navy layout using our monthly kits and add-ons! On the right, Leonela (@leonela_wright) created a beautiful, spring pocket page using our monthly kits and Flower Die Cuts, which you can still find in stock!

We really love these final two projects! On the left, @ary.scraps made some magic on her pocket page with the Jane Alphabet Metal Dies, which come in both Large and Medium sizes, and she created a beautiful pocket insert using our monthly kits and Light Teal Jane Alphabet Cardstock Stickers. Just gorgeous! On the right, we spotted a beautiful memory planner page by Tai (@momentstomemories.bytai) created with our Title Builder Stamp and Labels Stamp, also available in Hearts and Stars!

A Week of Magic: Park Memories in Pockets with Diane Dzubian

Welcome to the final day of our Week of Magic, celebrating the release of our two new collections, Magical Memories Volume 2 and Title Builder Vol. 6 Simply Magic, here on the Elle’s Studio blog! We know that when you get home from the park, you may have A LOT of memories to record, and what better way than with the ease of pocket pages? Let’s take a look at how Diane Dziuban used Magical Memories Volume 2 to record a recent trip filled with fun and magic!

Hi everyone, it’s Diane here. Happy Friday! Today I am sharing a 9 x 12-inch pocket page spread using the AMAZING new Magical Memories Vol. 2 Collection!

You guys! I love this collection so much! We recently spent a week at Walt Disney World in Florida and this collection came out at the perfect time to get my memories documented! You have everything you need to document your magical trip with these supplies! 

For this layout I started by using one of the Magical Memories 3 x 4-inch Journaling Tags in the top left corner for my title. I created a Mickey head with a Magical Memories Die Cut and the ears from the Puffy Circle Stickers. I had so much fun sprinkling those puffy circle stickers throughout my spread! 

There are some fun frames that come in the Magical Memories Die Cuts and I used those throughout my spread to bring some focus to those photos. I love how they also bring added dimension and detail. I sprinkled some of the die cuts throughout my layout to bring the colors and theme together, but I had a hard time limiting myself!

There are so many die cuts in this pack, and they are just so perfect! The Magical Memories Magical Day 4 x 6-inch Journaling Tags and Magical Memories Tab Stamp provided the perfect prompts to get my memories down.

A Week of Magic: Mini Album Magic with Michelle Flynn

With so many photos that we take at the Happiest Place on Earth, we surely have enough to fill an album, and creating a mini album for your trip is the perfect solution to holding all of those special memories in one place! Michelle Flynn is with us to continue our Week of Magic here on the blog, with a truly wonderful mini album created with the Magical Memories Volume 2 and Title Builder Vol. 6 Simply Magic collections that we know will inspire you! Let’s take a look!

Hi friends! Can you believe how beautiful the new Magical Memories collection is? I’m so in love with it, and incredibly happy to be here with you to share a mini album I made of some sweet memories from the most magical place on earth more than 25 years ago! Our son was just a little guy then, and I used this incredible collection to document a few of our visits by creating this mini book!

The Magical Memories Magical Memories Paper Stack is the perfect size for the outside of your mini. I cut down thin cardboard into 3 sizes: two sized at 3.5 x 4.5 inches and the bind at 1 x 4.5 inches. I took one sheet of the yellow stars paper and adhered all 3 cardboard sections on the white backside of the paper while using red line tape to fold the top, bottom, and corner pieces over. I loved that I did not have to cut down the 6 x 8.5 inch paper at all. I took the multi-colored thin striped sheet from the Paper Stack and cut it down to size for the inside of the album. Are you a puffy sticker fan like me?! I loved adding that adorable castle and the title of the mini from the Magical Memories Puffy Stickers! I added a fun border to the front of the mini, too, by using the Magical Memories Paper Stack.  

For the inside cover I used the Title Builder Vol. 6 Puffy Word Stickers for my title and those adorable mini ears using the Magical Memories Puffy Circle Stickers. Page one of my mini needed nothing more with that sweet “fun & magic” die cut photo frame from the Magical Memories Die Cuts. It was the perfect way to start this mini.  

For my inside pages I cut white cardstock into five 4 x 6-inch sheets and scored them down the middle as that would give me twenty 3 x 4-inch opportunities for pocket tags and photos and keep the mini chunky without being too bulky. I kept the binding simple by using black and white string and this allowed me the freedom to insert, remove or relocate the 4 x 6-inch sheets easily as I worked.  

I started working on each section and those Magical Memories 3 x 4-inch Journaling Tags were simply perfect. I adhered them onto the scored white cardstock sheet and started having some stamping fun with the Title Builder Vol. 6 Simply Magic Stamp. I embellished the pocket tags a bit more with the Magical Memories Die Cuts, Puffy Stickers, and Puffy Circle Stickers.

I really enjoyed using a combination of the Magical Memories Paper Stack and the Magical Memories 3 x 4-inch Journaling Tags for my individual pages. I made a few pockets within the pocket tags to showcase more mini photos and also if you look closely, I made a few hidden pockets between the sections.

It was definitely worth the time, because the Magical Memories collection inspired me and brought back so many magical memories, and now I now have a sweet little keepsake to remind me of these moments.
