Documenting Magic with Kat Benjamin

Hello, everyone! It’s Kat here, and I am so excited to share my project with you today! We took my daughter to Disneyland for the first time back in October. I had grand plans to get all the memories down in a 6 x 8-inch mini album, but that didn’t quite happen. However, the newest Magical Memories release got me so inspired—it gave me just the push I needed to start documenting!

Supplies | Title Builder Vol. 6 Vellum Die Cut Words, Title Builder Vol. 6 Simply Magic Stamp, Title Builder Vol. 6 Simply Magic Metal Die, Magical Memories Die Cuts, Magical Memories Cardstock Stickers, Magical Memories Cardstock Label Stickers, Black Parker Alphabet Cardstock Stickers, Yellow Jane Alphabet Cardstock Stickers, Magical Memories Puffy Heart and Star Stickers, Magical Memories Puffy Stickers, Magical Memories Puffy Circle Stickers, Magical Memories Paper Stack, Magical Memories Tab Stamp, Magical Memories Vol. 2 Stamp, Magical Memories Vol. 2 Metal Die, Outlined Stars Metal Die

I actually started with memories from day two of our trip. I had this photo of my daughter sitting outside the Disneyland gate that I knew I wanted to blow up and make a focal point of my spread. She was so cute and excited, and the picture coordinated really well with the new products!

For the left side of my spread, I made my Day 2 title page.

I used some of the Title Builder Volume 6 Simply Magic products to make this page.  I definitely love the mix of fonts!

The right side of my spread is where I included the large photo of my daughter. As I said, I wanted this photo to really shine, so I kept the embellishments minimal and just created two small embellishment clusters in the bottom left and top right of the photo.

I even decided to sneak in the tiniest bit of my own handwriting, which I never ever do. I don’t like it very much, but this cute ticket die cut from the Magical Memories Die Cuts convinced me to at least write down what park we were visiting!

Have you dug into the new Magical Memories collection?  We’d love to see your projects, so make sure you share them using the #EllesStudio hashtag on Instagram, or in the Elle’s Studio Facebook Group!
