Our July Kit + add-ons have arrived!

Our July reveal is here and we are excited to share all of the brand new and exclusive products that are now available in our shop today! Our July kit includes 3 – 4 x 6 inch tags, 18 – 3 x 4 inch tags, and 26 die cuts, that will work great on your scrapbooking layouts, pocket pages, traveler’s notebooks, cards, planners, and more! July Kit Preview with Junell Kruzel

Hi friends! It’s Junell here on the blog today! Someone once said that the key to happiness is always having something to look forward to, and if you’re like me, I’m always looking forward to seeing what’s new in the Elle’s Studio shop each month! You are gonna love the July release! I’ve made a pocket page with the kit already, so let me tease you with some items you’ll be able to add to your cart on the 10th!

I always start off my pages by deciding what color scheme to go with. The Elle’s Studio kit always has a variety of color combos—there are always bright, warm colors but also cool, calming colors which I’ve chosen here for this page. I just love the blues and greens that go so nicely with my zoo pictures. Hopefully you already have a monthly kit subscription! If not, I highly recommend it just for the variety of tags you get!

For my title card, I used the Teal Jane Alphabet Cardstock Stickers. Seriously, one can never have enough alpha stickers. They make creating titles a breeze. I also used the Medium Hazel Stamp to make my title a bit longer to fill the space.

My favorite item this month is the Puffy Star Stickers! There are 72 puffy stars on this one sheet! In rainbow colors! I definitely will order more of these if they don’t sell out first! I used the cool-toned stars to add some pizazz to the center of my photo collage for a fun look. 

If you want even more puffy sticker goodies, there’s also the Everyday Label Puffy Stickers. I used these to add phrases to my photos and draw the eye to them. And don’t forget that the Elle’s Studio Shop has lots of other items from previous releases that are also available! I used the Medium Hazel Stamp to add a list of animals my nephew wanted to make sure we saw at the zoo. Much easier to read than handwriting, and it balances the title at the top!

There are so many other goodies and extras and add-ons this month to make your creative time fun and enjoyable. This is just a small sampling of what I used. I hope you look forward to the 10th as much as I do! Happy scrapping!

#EllesStudio Spottings on Instagram

Hello there, ES friends! This month, we checked out the #EllesStudio hashtag, and loved finding all of the creative ways that you are using our products and sharing them with the papercrafting community! Let’s check out just a few that we spotted!

We’re starting with two colorful layouts! The first, by Jessica (@jessicanavarro75) used a rainbow of fun frames from our Smile Cardstock Die Cuts, Photograph Stamp and Photograph Metal Die! What a beautiful page! On the right, Youngmi (@scrappytoki) inked up our Parker Alphabet Stamp to create a colorful title on her layout. Love those happy colors!

On the left, we spied some pretty bouquets of daisies from our Flower Die Cuts on the layout on the left by Shala (@bookishshala). They added the perfect touch to soften her grid-style design! On the right, a magical title page by Carrie (@misscarriescreations) was topped with the perfect title, “magic” from our Title Builder Vol. 6 Simply Magic Stamp and Metal Die. We can’t wait to see the rest of your album, Carrie!

Our two final projects are very different, but have something in common: a love for our Jane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers! On the left, Jen (@jenjen_creates) is using them to organize her monthly pocket page albums with our Calendar Journaling Tags. On the right, Elizabeth (@worthington_elizabeth) created a perfect (and very true!) title for her beautiful layout. We love both of these projects, ladies!

Fun & Games with Sarah Kee

Hi, Elle’s friends! It’s me, Sarah, hosting today’s blog post, and I’m excited to share a layout I created that focuses on the Game Night Die Cuts and Game Time Stamp along with some of the other products from the June release!

You know how a lot of Elle’s Studio stamps have fun, little graphics or phrases on them? My go-to technique is to create a stamped background using those stamps!

Here’s how I used the Game Time Stamp to create a 12 x 12-inch layout: 

Supplies | June 2022 Kit, Game Night Die Cuts, Sky Blue Cardstock Basic Shape Stickers, Cool Puffy Heart and Star Stickers, Game Time Stamp, Mini Dated Extras Stamp

I started off by sporadically stamping the tic-tac-toe/hashtag, the “x”, and the “o” stamps from the Game Time Stamp onto my white cardstock. I didn’t bother trying to align the stamp on my layout because I knew I wanted to create a layered look. I made sure to use different ink colors to coordinate with other pieces I wanted to incorporate onto my layout.

After repetitively stamping the background I created using the Game Time Stamp, I embellished right on top of it. I used pieces from the June 2022 Kit to frame my photo.

My title, “Fun & Games,” is a piece from the Game Night Die Cuts. I layered it on top of a starburst that was on one of the 3 x 4-inch tags that came in the June 2022 Kit. 

To really make my title stand out, I added the “Rule No. 1 Have Fun!” die cut, too.

Next, I stamped black game pieces and “Let’s Play Again” tickets from the Game Time Stamp. I cut them out and added them to my layout with other colored die cuts from the Game Night Die Cuts. Lastly, I embellished my layout with puffy star stickers and puffy dot stickers.

My favorite part about making this 12 x 12-inch layout was creating a stamped background. The possibilities are endless with ways you can arrange your stamps to create backgrounds for your projects!

Summer Treats with Aimee Mertell

Hey there Elle’s Studio friends! It’s Aimee here with you on the blog today sharing a travelers notebook layout using the new June kit and add-ons. Let’s take a look at what I’ve done and the special products I wanted to focus on and why. 

Supplies |  June 2022 Kit,  Summer Cardstock Stickers, Title Builder Vol. 6 Simply Magic Simply Magic Stamp

I really wanted to use the new Title Builder Vol. 6 Simply Magic Stamp released earlier in June, but as someone who has not been to Disney, I wanted to find another unique use for it. Although it is indeed park-themed, I think there are in fact many other uses for the words and titles in the stamp set. 

I used the Summer Cardstock Stickers in conjunction with the stamp set to create a super fun title for my page, “give me all the summer treats!” the perfect title for one of our favorite summer treats: strawberry lemon popsicles! We love indulging in these out in the backyard garden when it gets hot out. 

To pull both sides of the layout together and play off the stamped colors of my title, I used red pocket tags from the June 2022 Kit to add layers behind my photo. I then created a fun cluster at the top corner of my photo using the kit die cuts popped up on foam dots for dimension. 

I love how this one turned out and loved bringing together these very different products and creating something cohesive with them. You never would suspect that I’m using summer and park-themed releases together! I hope this inspired you to think outside the box on your next project! Catch you next time!

Princess Memories with Kim Chaffin

Hi, friends! I hope your June has you making magical memories! It’s Kim Chaffin, and I’m here with a layout I created using the Magical Memories collection and Title Builder Simply Magic products. Our family took a trip to Magic Kingdom several years ago, but I have procrastinated scrapbooking the visit. When I saw this collection, I knew that it was perfect to showcase my daughter wearing her Cinderella dress in front of the castle!

Supplies | Magical Memories 3 x 4 inch Journaling Tags, Title Builder Vol. 6 Vellum Die Cut Words, Magical Memories Vellum Die Cut Shapes, Magical Memories Cardstock Stickers 

I wanted to include a close-up of my daughter’s face, a full body shot to show her costume, and a close-up of her silver shoes. The close-up of her face, printed at 12 x 12, became the perfect canvas for the other layout elements. I decided to create a vellum journaling strip that wouldn’t obscure much of the image beneath. I used a Magical Memories 3 x 4 inch Journaling Tag of the castle to embellish the top of the strip, and I placed the shoe photo at the bottom.  

I printed the remaining photo at 3 x 8-inches. I love to mix up sizes within my albums! 

The Magical Memories Vellum Die Cut Shapes and Title Builder Vol. 6 Vellum Die Cut Wordsreally got my creativity flowing! There are so many possibilities. They could be used as a simple accent, as I did here with the castle, or these could also be used to create a title, or even layered with other pieces. I love the way the silver metallic color coordinates with the silver in my daughter’s costume!

I also did some strategic trimming of the Vellum Die Cut Words. I cut the “happy” word so that I could run it across my 3 x 8-inch photo in two lines, and I placed several of the hearts and stars throughout, trimming them flush with edges where there was an overhang. 

If Disney is the happiest place on earth, then these magical products are the happiest scrapbooking release. I can’t wait to see how you document your magical memories! Share them with us in our Facebook Group or on Instagram using the #ElleStudio hashtag!

Summer Life with Guest Becki Adams

Today we’re welcoming guest Becki Adams back to the blog to share a fun, summer layout that brings a ton of color and pattern to her album, not to mention some special memories! Let’s take a look at Becki’s gorgeous layout!

Hello, Elle’s Studio friends! I’m Becki Adams, here to share with you a fun layout that I created with the June kit and add-ons. I had SO much fun creating with these new products to create this fun, summer-themed layout. 

Supplies | June 2022 Kit, Cerulean Blue Cardstock Label Stickers, Summer Cardstock Stickers, The Best Paper Stack, Pocket Tabbed Metal Dies

When I opened the box of Elle’s Studio goodies, one of the first things I fell in love with was the The Best Paper Stack and the Summer Cardstock Stickers. I wanted to use a LOT of these products on a layout. 

The first thing I did was to cut several strips of patterned paper at various widths and lengths. I wanted to create a colorful patterned paper along the top and bottom of the layout. When I had the strips in place, I stitched down the center of each strip with my sewing machine and white thread. 

In the center of the layout, I cut out three tabbed pocket cards with the Pocket Tabbed Metal Dies. Then I adhered a photo that is slightly smaller than 3 x 4-inches in the center of each card. Below the photo in the middle and the photo on the right, I created my title using the Summer Cardstock Stickers. I wanted the yellow tile stickers to have a white border to coordinate with the rest of the title, so I simply placed those stickers on a scrap of white cardstock and adhered the white cardstock to the background. The “life is good” portion of the title was adhered with foam adhesive.

To finish the layout, I added a few starfish stickers from the Summer Cardstock Stickers. I am so happy with how this layout came together and you can watch my process in the video below!

Celebrate Red, White and Blue with Marsha Farris

Hey, Elle’s Studio friends! It’s Marsha here today, and I’m excited to share a fun traveler’s notebook spread! I used the June kit and add-ons to create this star-filled layout documenting my family’s 4th of July celebration.  

Supplies | June 2022 Kit, Sky Blue Cardstock Basic Shape Stickers, Cool Puffy Heart and Star Stickers, Big Smiles Puffy Stickers, Sky Blue Puffy Alphabet Stickers, Navy Puffy Alphabet Stickers, The Best Paper Stack, Good Times Paper Stack, Outlined Stars Stamp, Large Star Jane Number Stamp, Medium Jane Alphabet Stamp – Outline, Jane Alphabet Stamp, Outlined Stars Metal Die

I began by choosing a few patterned papers from the Good Times and The Best Paper Stacks to use on the layout. I wanted to keep to a red, white, and blue color scheme for this patriotic spread. I used the Outlined Stars Metal Die to cut out lots of stars from different patterned papers and had fun mixing and matching them across the spread. To create the title, I used the Large Star Jane Number Stamp, Jane Alphabet Stamp, and outline , Medium Jane Alphabet Stamp, along with red and navy blue inks. I also included some puffy alphabet stickers in Sky Blue and Navy. I love this mixed stamp and puffy sticker title! I also included an arrow die cut from the June 2022 Kit and backed it with a blue patterned paper so it would stand out from the white background.  

I adhered my photo to a tag from the June Kit and created a pocket by adding adhesive to three sides of the tag. Next, I added my typed journaling to another tag from the kit, trimmed it into a tag shape, and slid it into the pocket behind my photo. I also used a bit of patterned paper from the The Best Paper Stack and a mini staple to create a little tab on the tag. This is a great alternative to twine or ribbon on a layout and it allows you to use more of the gorgeous patterned papers!

The Outlined Stars Stamp was perfect for adding lots of stars and star bursts to the spread using different shades of blue ink. I also included stars from the Cool Puffy Heart and Star Stickers and the Sky Blue Cardstock Basic Shape Stickers. To complete the layout, I added a few stickers from the Big Smiles Puffy Stickers.
