On the left, we love how @pollyspapermemories worked our Hello Happy Puffy Words into her beautiful layout. The “fun in the sun” phrase is perfect for this pretty, mixed media creation! On the right, we’re so excited to see our Teal Puffy Alphabet Stickers adorning @fearlesstiff15‘s banner that she added to her bible. Really beautiful page!
 

 
We love how @paigehasaplan used our March and July 2018 Kits on her awesome traveler’s notebook spread. What a beautiful color scheme, and a great way to document her furry friend! On the right, we are blown away by @snap.scrap.repeat‘s mad cake skills, as well as the awesome way she documented it with our Noteworthy collection. It couldn’t be more perfect!
 

 
How fantastic is this National Park layout that @jillmrugg created using our Noteworthy and Family Fun 6″ x 6″ paper stacks, along with our new Happy Moments Wood Veneer Circles on the left? We love the way the colors pop against that black background, Jill! On the right, we think our Noteworthy collection was the perfect thing to choose when documenting a special gift, the way that @onemommyscrapping did on the right. Such a lovely moment to document!

Loving the August Digital Cut File with Daniela

When was the last time you turned on your digital cutting machine? You might want to plug it in, because we have some fresh inspiration from Daniela today, using our latest cut file in the shop. Let’s take a look!
 
Hi there, it’s Daniela again, and I’m so excited to share another layout with you today, focusing all on digital files! The August Digital Cut File comes with cut files you can use in so many ways. The phrase “heart this” can perfectly be used as a title and the circle with the little heart is a great addition to this, so I used these two files to create this new layout:

I started my page by cutting out the big title from the Noteworthy 12″ x 12″ Paper Collection grid and used the papers from the Noteworthy 6″ x 6″ Paper Stack to fill the blanks. Since I prefer a messy style, I also added some Noteworthy Puffy Stickers and Noteworthy Bits and Pieces on top of the title so that there are small clusters of embellishments that make the big letters more interesting. I also added yellow drops around the letters so that there is a kind of frame around the title.
 

 
After finishing the title, I backed my picture with two papers from the Noteworthy 6″ x 6″ Paper Stack and arranged it under the word “this”. Next, I carefully added color splashes in yellow, pink and turquoise to create a nice background for the embellishments I wanted to use around the picture. I tried to take up the colors of the papers and I’m quite happy with the result. While the color was drying, I cut some of the heart circles from the August Digital Cut File using the Noteworthy 6″ x 6″ Paper Stack and then arranged them next to the picture. Finally, I used some puffy stickers to add more dimension to the page.
 

 
The black and white “favorite” puffy sticker from the Noteworthy Puffy Stickers on the photo builds a nice contrast to the happy and bright colors of the paper and embellishment and is the starting point of my handwritten journaling.

Documenting a Celebration with Nathalie Leonelli

When was the last time you documented a birthday or celebration of some kind? Don’t leave those photos sitting on your hard drive! Document them with our new celebratory themed Celebrate Stamp and Journaling Tags. Today we have Nathalie Leonelli with us to share how she had fun with the tags and loved stamping all over her spread—with gorgeous results! Let’s take a look:
 
I broke a personal record with the new project I am sharing with you today. I believe it is the first time I stamped (sometimes with multiple stamps) on every single tag in a pocket page and that tells you how much I love the new Celebrate Stamp and Journaling Tags!

This is a weekly spread in my regular 6″ x 12″ album, but since I wanted to focus on my son’s birthday, I used tags exclusively from the Celebrate Journaling Tags, along with the Celebrate Stamp. They made the whole spread very festive! I am particularly fond of the different banner options in the stamp set.
 

 
My other favorites in this set are the small words that are scaled perfectly to add to tags. Above, I used the “hooray!” stamp sideways in the label stamp (which I colored with a pencil). Below, I changed the journaling tag which originally said “Celebrate the small moments” by hiding the second half of the sentence and adding “let’s” instead. I also like the look of the small “make a wish” stamp under the cake on the right. Adapting and embellishing couldn’t be easier!
 

 
Actually, you might not have noticed but I used very little in terms of embellishments on this spread, yet it still has depth brought by the contrast of the black stamping against the colors of the tags and my coloring.
 

 
The last little detail I’d like to share is how I used the label stamp a second time directly on the edge of a photo and found out that the new Jane Alphabet Stickers fit perfectly inside, bringing another touch of color in that corner of the spread.
 

 
In the end, I am very happy with the overall result and love the fact that the tags make even my dark photos (and bit of brown ephemera) pop. Note that the colors in the set of Celebrate Journaling Tags work great for any gender or age, definitely a big plus for me!

5. Add a wood veneer flag to your next mini album page, like Amanda-Jayne did in this fun travel mini. The “hooray” flag is perfect for any kind of happy memory, and is thin enough to not add too much bulk to your album.

Back to School Stories Documented with Tracey Fox

What back to school stories do you have to tell? Maybe you want to document your kid’s first day this year, or if you don’t have kids, even you went to school at some point, right? Pull out those vintage photos from your first day of school and start recording those memories! Today, Tracey Fox is here to share how she documented her nephews’ first day photos, using our August Kit and add-ons, in such a fantastic way! Let’s take a look!
 
Happy back to school season! The August Kit and extras are full of great products to help you document all of your back to school stories, from first days, to school supply shopping, to sports tryouts and games. This year, I was lucky enough to see my nephews off on their first day of school, and I was so excited to get to document it using these fun items!

It was a no-brainer for me that I was going to use the Back to School Acrylic for my page’s title. To ensure that the white words were visible on the page, I grabbed the blue graph paper (Noteworthy Paper 3) from the Noteworthy 12″ x 12″ Paper Collection to use as a background for the elements of my page. I cut the sheet into a large banner flag and adhered it to a full sheet of Noteworthy Paper 2.
 

 
After printing two 3″ x 4″ photos from the kids’ first day of school, I chose 3” x 4” and 4” x 6” tags from the August Kit that both reminded me of school and coordinated with each other in color. I then arranged them in a grid design with my photos. I love the pretty rainbow of colors on the “12345” and tag-patterned tags! The journaling tag with the cute pencil on it made a great home for the journaling I added with my typewriter, and I added the date to the leftover space on the tag using the Mini Dated Stamp.
 

 
To include some extra embellishment to the page, I added a few diecuts from the August Kit, and I used a 1” circle punch to punch colorful hearts from a 3” x 4” tag. I lined them up in a row across the bottom of the blue patterned paper, on either side of the title. I machine-stitched a line through the hearts to connect them to each other, and I think it adds a really sweet touch to the page.
