Memory Planner Inspiration with Michelle Flynn

Hi friends! It’s Michelle, and I’m happy to be here today sharing a few pages from my memory keeping journal using the beautiful November 2022 Kit and add-ons. I love using my monthly kit and stamps in a memory keeping journal because of how much free creative fun you have—it is such a neat way to use your stamps and monthly kit outside of pockets. Today I’m sharing a layout from a week in October when the weather was so crisp and cool and I started by pulling out shades of aqua blue and green from my monthly kit and add-ons.

I couldn’t wait to start this week with that beautiful “October” script die cut using the 2023 Month Die Cuts. That font is so beautiful and I am super excited about using these in both my memory journal and pocket page album! I chose the fun December Grid Stamp using black ink for my days of the week. The font of these numbers is equally amazing and this stamp has quickly risen to my fav stamp list. I wanted to tuck in a few hidden mini photos and notes and I started with selecting multiple bits from the Labels, Ledgers and Tabs Die Cuts while using a series of stamps, the Christmas Phrases Stamp and Open Here Stamp. I added a sweet star sticker from the Magical Memories Cardstock Stickers.

I made an accordion flip of 5 photos and adhered a die cut with a stamped sentiment. I used the , Sincere Sentiments Wonderful You Stamp to stamp a fun, large sentiment and used the coordinating Alphabet Metal Die to accent the outlines.

I continued with the theme of using die cuts attached to hidden photos and stamping sentiments. I framed a favorite photo of the autumn evening sky using the Holiday Frame Stickers and added a die cut from the November 2022 Kit with more stamped sentiments. I used the Thankful Die Cuts to add a little journaling and further stamp play with the Icon Tab Stamp.

One of my fav pocket tags in November Kit was an aqua note 3 x 4-inch tag. I trimmed it down and added a stamped sentiment and a pull-out die cut behind from the Labels, Ledgers and Tabs Die Cuts for added journaling.

I had so much fun documenting another week in our life with this release! Get out your kits and stamps and let your only goal be to have free creative play documenting your days! Share your own inspiration using your November Kit and add-ons using the #ellesstudio hashtag! I hope you are having the happiest season friends!

Stamping Holiday Fun with Kim Chaffin

Hello, crafty friends! It’s Kim Chaffin, and I’m so happy to be back with you on the blog! I’ve had loads of fun with the Holiday Fun Stamp. First, let’s look at the layout I’ve made!

Supplies | November 2022 KitNovember 2022 Cut Files, Holiday Frame Stickers, Matte Gold Heart and Star Stickers, Holiday Fun Stamp

Though I’ve been scrapbooking for decades, I haven’t been stamping very long at all. It was just one of those things I didn’t let myself do. I thought that because I was inexperienced, I would be messy and imprecise. As it turns out, I was right! But I’ve allowed myself the fun of being messy and imprecise anyway.

This is my journaling block. I decided to use gold stamping ink because that goes well with Santa’s gold chair. I stamped a couple of the phrases from the Holiday Fun Stamp on the right side and embellished with Matte Gold Heart and Star Stickers

I wanted to include more of the gold stamping because I love repeating elements throughout a layout. I wanted this to be very subtle, so I created a tag using one of the November 2022 Cut Files. I backed the tag with a piece of vellum on which I had repeatedly stamped the “making spirits bright” phrase from the Holiday Fun Stamp in gold. A Matte Gold Heart and Star Sticker was a perfect fit for the ‘O’ in the JOY on the cut file.

The completed tag slips into a pocket I created by sewing a small rectangle of vellum onto three sides of the bottom of a second photo printed at 3 x 8-inches.

A few more of the Matte Gold Heart and Star Stickers inserted into the ‘O’s of my “HO HO HO” title was just the finishing touch I needed. I love all of the gold on this festive holiday page, and I love playing with stamps—imprecision and mess notwithstanding! If you’ve never thought of yourself as a stamper, I’d encourage you to give it a chance! I’m glad I did! I’d love to see what you stamp using the Holiday Fun Stamp!

Document December 2022 Prep with Jennifer McMurtrey

How is it the holidays are already upon us? It seems to arrive faster and faster with each passing year! It’s Jen with you today, and because time seems to be moving at lightning speed, I am trying to keep my preparation and process for documenting December as easy as possible using the Document December 2022 Kit and add-ons. In terms of organization, I have all of my supplies in Ikea containers placed on a tray that I can grab quickly and move to my crafting table.

I enjoy creating spontaneously, so making foundation pages can be a struggle. So far, I have put together a fun shaker page and two tags that I will place in the album as I go. I’m loving playing with the stamps to create fun backgrounds!

In addition to this year’s Document December products, I dug into my stash and found several items from the Magical Memories collection that I plan to incorporate as well.

The Title Builder Vol. 6 Simply Magic Big Words Metal Die worked perfectly on the smaller tag I made. I am excited to see how this project comes together throughout the season!

Document December Prep with Kat Benjamin

Hi, friends! It’s Kat here to share some ways that I am prepping for documenting my December using the Document December 2022 Kit and add-ons!

I make it a goal to work on my album almost every night in December so I can stay fairly caught up. I especially love to add interactive and detailed elements to my album, including a lot of elements that have machine stitching. However, unless I prep these pieces ahead of time, I will not include them in my album because I just don’t have the time to make them in the 15 minutes I steal every night to work on my album.

The first things I prepped were stitched pockets made out of of the patterned papers from the Twinkle Paper Stack. I made pockets of varying sizes with holes on the left and right so I will be able to quickly grab one that fits my needs for a given day.

The next things I stitched were a few larger items. I definitely don’t know what I’m doing every day of December and I try not to plan it out too much, but there are certain days when I do know what our plans are. December 10th is one of those days, so I already have an idea of what that day will look like, so I stitched a tag for that day. I also know that I will have a page about gift wrapping and I always have a need for my daughter’s initials!

Finally, I created a few layered embellishments using metal dies and some of the stickers and die cuts from the Document December release.

I’m happy I did this prep work because my pages will now contain a few detailed elements that I am fairly certain I will not have time to create once we get into December.

What are you doing to prepare?

Thanksgiving Details with Sarah Kee

Hi, Elle’s friends! It’s me, Sarah, hosting today’s blog post, and today I’m excited to be sharing one of my latest 12 x 12-inch layouts that I created using the November 2022 monthly kit and add-ons.

I felt inspired to document photos from last year’s Thanksgiving dinner. Here’s what I made:

Supplies | November 2022 Kit, Holiday Frame Stickers, White and Navy Jane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers, Holiday Fun Stamp, Medium Jane Alphabet Stamp – Solid, Medium Jane Alphabet Stamp – Outline

To start, I knew that I wanted to use the Holiday Frame Stickers in a big way. I turned some of the frames into shaker embellishments!

I also used a couple of the sticker frames as photo frames. I stamped the “magic captured” sentiment onto the sticker itself using the Holiday Fun Stamp

I used foam adhesive behind the frame to add some dimension to my layout.

I love that there are pocket tags that work as wonderful journaling prompts in each monthly kit. In this layout, I used the “Thanksgiving Details” tag to help document our Thanksgiving 2021 memories.

Lastly, I love to incorporate stamping onto my layouts. I used the Holiday Fun Stamp to create a heart embellishment for my layout. I also wanted to use some of my alphabet stamps to create my “Give Thanks” title.

And that’s all I have for today! So, what did you think of the November 2022 release? I love it! I’m really fawning over the Holiday Fun Stamp. I can see myself using that on so many different projects! That’s one of the best parts about Elle’s Studio products—they’re so versatile and can be used over and over again!

As always, thanks for following along and letting me share my work!

Sincere Sentiments Greetings with Wei Wei Wang

Hi Elle’s Studio friends! It’s Wei Wei with you today sharing brand new greeting cards created using the November kit and add-ons along with the Sincere Sentiments collection.

Supplies | November LabelsLabels, Ledgers and Tabs Die CutsHoliday Frame Stickers, Matte Gold Heart and Star StickersSincere Sentiments Best of Friends Stamp, Sincere Sentiments Best of Friends Metal Die, Sincere Sentiments Best of Friends Add-on Stamp, Sincere Sentiments Best of Friends Add-on Metal Die, Sincere Sentiments Congrats Stamp, Sincere Sentiments Congrats Metal Die, Sincere Sentiments Wonderful You Stamp, Sincere Sentiments Wonderful You Metal Die, Warm Solids Paper Stack, Cool Solids Paper Stack

For the first card, I created the stamping background with the Sincere Sentiments Congrats Stamp and soft color inks. I adhered the Holiday Frame Sticker with foam tape to the center of my card.

Then, I added gold foil to stamping “You” with a glue pen and used the Sincere Sentiments Wonderful You Metal Die to cut them out. I adhered the word onto the frame and then added some small flowers stamped out with the Best of Friends Add-on Stamp and placed them beside my title. To finish off, I added little stars from Holiday Frame Stickers and Matte Gold Heart and Star Stickers.

For my second card, I again used the Holiday Frame Stickers as my main embellishments. I layered these frames with foam tapes and used the pink November Label for more interest.

The pink flowers layered in the frames are from Sincere Sentiments Best of Friends Add-on Stamp. For my title, I stamped out the word “congrats” from the Sincere Sentiments Congrats Stamp and cut out with the Congrats Metal Die.

Thanks for stopping by!

December in Pockets with LeeAnne Jones

jHello, everyone! It’s LeeAnne here, with a pumpkin-spice latte in my hands but the twinkle lights and merry music of Christmas on my mind. I’m back on the blog today to show how I used the Elle’s Studio November kit and add-ons to document family life in December 2021.

Supplies | November 2022 KitLabels, Ledgers and Tabs Die CutsHoliday Frame Stickers, Matte Gold Heart and Star Stickers, Gold Puffy Alphabet Stickers, Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers – Warm Tones, Thankful Paper Stack, Cool Solids Paper Stack, Medium Jane Alphabet Metal Die

The November 2022 Kit includes items that will take you smoothly from fall to winter. There are tags and die cuts with autumnal colors and sentiments, and there are Christmas-themed elements, too. I was able to create both a November and a December pocket page with one kit!

The bold, striped 4 x 6-inch journaling tag makes for a straightforward title card. I was less sure about the alpha style, but eventually settled on using minty green paper, which would tie in other elements on the page, like the naughty/nice journal tag and the frame sticker just below the title. The Medium Jane Alphabet Metal Die created an equally bold month name for the tag, and I embellished with kit die cuts and gold stickers.

Confession: An earlier iteration of this journaling tag had about a dozen gold stars added to it. It was… whoa! I had to edit myself! Haha! But I love those Matte Gold Heart and Star Stickers. There are so many in the pack—and in several sizes. And I love this tag, too: a lovely, graphic “breather” for the page design. No photo, no journaling—just mood!

Speaking of wonderful tags, this naughty/nice one was another favorite from the kit. There’s plenty of room to journal a few December memories, and the sliding scale is a fun touch. I wish I had some “naughty” kid moments to document this year, but they were pretty sweet. I used a gold star for the slider at first, but I swapped it out at the last minute for the puffy red one from the Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers, which makes it pop a bit more.

Well, that’s it for this time! I hope this layout inspires you to document your December memories with Elle’s Studio goodies. When you do, share on Instagram with the hashtag #ellesstudio or in our Facebook group! We can’t wait to see!

Sincere Sentiments Mix-Up with Nathalie Leonelli

Hello! It’s Nathalie and I am back today happy to give you a break from all the holiday prep and talk. I am sharing two new greeting cards created by mixing several Sincere Sentiments stamps and metal dies.

Supplies: Sincere Sentiments Congrats StampSincere Sentiments Wonderful You StampSincere Sentiments Best of Friends StampSincere Sentiments Best of Friends Add-on StampSincere Sentiments Wonderful You Metal DieSincere Sentiments Best of Friends Metal DieSincere Sentiments Best of Friends Add-on Metal DieLabels, Ledgers, and Tabs Die CutsWarm Solids Paper StackMagical Memories Paper Stack

My first card started with a negative cut of the word “You” backed by a contrasting black paper from the Magical Memories Paper Stack. I completed the sentiment with stamps from the Best of Friends and the Wonderful You stamps.

I stamped and die-cut three large flowers with the Best of Friends Add-on Stamp and Add-on Metal Die to match the striped paper in the background, also from the Magical Memories Paper Stack.

I kept using the same paper stack for this second card and played more with the idea of matching pastels with black and white sentiments.

I paired the cursive “Hello” stamp from the Best of Friends Stamp with a typewritten phrase from the Congrats Stamp, embossed on black cardstock.

I die-cut the flowers from white cardstock with the Best of Friends Add-on Metal Die and I really like the clean look!

My ideas for you:

  • mix and match fonts/stamp sets when creating your card sentiments (just like for title building in scrapbooking!)
  • make your sentiment pop by using contrast
  • create depth with foam dots (a must on all my cards!)
  • use metal dies on their own (without their matching stamps) for more options!

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you’ll take some time to play with your stamps!

Document December 2022 Prep with Marsha Farris

Hey, Elle’s Studio friends! This is Marsha, and I’m here today to share how I’ve been preparing my Document December album using the Document December 2022 Kit and add-ons. I love documenting the holidays, and doing some prep work before the month begins makes the process so much quicker and easier during the busy days of December.

This year, I am using a Life Crafted traveler’s notebook-sized album. I have used this album size for several years and find the pages come together quickly using this format. I don’t prep my entire album, but I like to create a few layouts and pocket tags before the month begins. I began this process by embellishing journaling tags from the Document December 2022 Kit using kit items along with the Fa La La Stamp, Christmas Tabs Vol. 2 Stamp, ‘Tis the Season Chipboard Stickers, and Tiny Christmas Hearts and Stars Puffy Stickers. I also used the Twinkle Paper Stack and the Nesting Tags Metal Die for one of the tags.

Next, I created a label for the spine of my album using the Twinkle Paper Stack, December Grid Stamp, and Fa La La Stamp, along with a few ink colors.

For the inside pages of my album, I embellished more pocket tags from the Document December Kit with the kit die cuts and the ‘Tis the Season Chipboard Stickers. To complete my album prep, I created a fun stamped tag using the Fa La La Stamp, Nesting Tags Metal Die, and Twinkle Paper Stack. I also added a tree die cut from the Document December Kit and used the Attacher Metal Die to add the tag to my album.

I hope I’ve given you some ideas for prepping your December album using the amazing Document December products from Elle’s Studio! Happy holiday crafting!
