A Magical Christmas Moment with Title Builder Vol. 5 and Suzanna Lee

We are so excited about the release of our new Title Builder Vol. 5 collection, and over the next few days, our talented team will be sharing how they are documenting their Christmas memories using this collection of stamp, stickers and vellum words that combine so perfectly to make *magic* on your projects! Let’s take a look at what Suzanna Lee is starting off with today!

Have you seen the latest Title Builder release? Yesterday was the big day. Heaven! Just December memorykeeping heaven, I tell you!

First things first, are you familiar with the Title Builder series? If not, allow me to familiarize you. Title Builder is a concept exclusive to Elle’s Studio that always entails a stamp set of multiple words in different fonts. Often, there are a few simple embellishment stamps as well. These words can be stamped together to create fun titles for your projects. Various add on stickers, acrylics, etc are available for even more title building fun! This latest release, volume 5, The Merriest, is perfect for your December memories!

Supplies | Title Builder Vol. 5 The Merriest Stamp, The Merriest Puffy Stickers, The Merriest Vellum Die Cuts, The Merriest Chipboard Stickers, Wonder Paper Stack, Christmas Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers, Numbers and Stars Gold Foil Cardstock Stickers

A combination of title and journaling was created with the stamps, puffy stickers, vellum die cuts AND chipboard to constitute the bulk of this large photo 8.5 x 11 inch layout. The blurred background, my daughter’s Christmas pajamas, created the perfect background for the various textures and depths of elements leading your eye down to the focus of the photo: this adorable kitten resting her chin on the kitchen table! Just perfect!

The Puffy Stickers and Chipboard Stickers come in a classic shade of Elle’s Studio red, black and white. More color and variety can be added via your ink colors by stamping with the stamp set. The gold vellum die cuts also add a great shine.

Just as previous volumes are accompanied by a PDF, so too is this one. There are SO many wonderful possibilities and combinations! What title are you dying to create? Have you brainstormed up ALL the projects while reading this? I know I have notes for four more that popped up while creating this one. Now to find the time to execute!

Thanks for stopping in today! Have fun documenting you magical Christmas moments with the new Title Builder Vol. 5 stamp and add on goodies!

Stop by tomorrow where Marsha Farris will be sharing how she used Title Builder Vol. 5 in her traveler’s notebook!

Carving Out Memories with Guest Ali Skifton

Today we welcome Ali Skifton back to the blog for her second post. In case you missed her first post, be sure to check it out! Ali is sharing yet another beautiful fall layout created using our October 2021 kit and add-ons and a sketch from From Sketch to Finish Vol. 6, this time documenting a favorite Halloween activity: carving pumpkins! We know that you’ll have some of the photos that you want to record, too, so be sure to “pin” Ali’s layout for inspiration! Let’s check it out!

Happy Halloween! It’s Ali here with you again today and I am so excited to be back to the Elle’s Studio blog this month with my second post as a guest designer. I am sharing a cute Halloween layout I created using the new October treats!

Supplies | October 2021 KitHome Sweet Home Cardstock Stickers, Halloween Cardstock Stickers, Moss Green Cardstock Label Stickers, Jane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers – Moss Green, Moss Green Puffy Alphabet Stickers, Home Sewn Stitches Acetate Stickers, Autumn Puffy Heart Stickers, Thankful Paper Stack, Autumn Tab StampMedium Tile Alphabet Stamp, From Sketch to Finish Vol. 6 Digital Class

Halloween is my favorite holiday and I love everything about this season. We went to a pumpkin farm this past weekend and picked out our pumpkins for carving. I love decorating our front porch with a variety of pumpkins and adding our carved ones as Halloween gets closer.

I used sketch three from the Sketch to Finish Vol. 6 Digital Class and started with a grid layout for the eight pictures I wanted to use on my page. I used two different papers from the Thankful Paper Stack and added the Home Sewn Stitches Acetate Stickers where the papers meet. I used tab stickers from the Home Sweet Home Cardstock Stickers and die cuts to the right side of my photos and embellished the tabs with pumpkin Halloween Cardstock Stickers and an Autumn Puffy Heart Sticker. I did the same to the upper left hand corner of my photos.

I love the 3 x 4 tags included in the monthly kits. I picked one out from the October 2021 Kit that I could showcase another picture of our cute carved pumpkins. I included the “autumn leaves and pumpkins please” sticker from the Home Sweet Home Cardstock Stickers on the bottom of the tag along with leaves and another pumpkin.

I added another tab above the 3 x 4 tag and stamped the word “family time” into that space using the Autumn Tab Stamp. I love these stamps—there are so many different ones you can choose for the season!

The title was so fun to make with all the different options available to coordinate with this month’s kit. I couldn’t decide on what lettering to use, so I used three different fonts: the moss green Jane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers for the word “Carving” and the Moss Green Puffy Alphabet Stickers for “Memories.” If you are unsure of stamping on your layout, you can stamp on a separate piece of paper and cut out your letters. This is what I did, using the Medium Tile Alphabet Stamp and added foam behind the letters to pop them off of the page.

Happy Halloween! I enjoyed spending my favorite month with you and Elle’s Studio!

Hi everyone!  My name is Alexandra, but all my family and friends call me Ali. I am so excited and honored to be joining you as the guest designer this month. October is my favorite month of the year. I love the leaves turning colors, apple picking, corn mazes, sweater weather, pumpkin picking and my favorite holiday, Halloween!

I have been scrapbooking for over 20 years now and am very thankful to have this in my life.  I look forward to spending time in my craft room on the weekends after working all week as a full-time financial analyst. I consider my style to be on the whimsical side using a lot of bright colors.  I also enjoy reading, traveling, photography and living life.  You will find me having fun adventures on Instagram @funadventureswithali!

Thank you so much for inspiring us this month with your beautiful, autumn layouts, Ali! We loved sharing your work with our followers!

Sketch Day with Katarina Prevendarova

Hi Friends! Today is Sketch Day and it’s Katarina here with you again bringing some more inspiration. Today I am sharing a sketch-based layout using the October 2021 kit and add-ons. Let’s see what I created!

This is the sketch I used today:

And this is my layout:

Supplies | October 2021 KitOctober Labels, Home Sweet Home Cardstock Stickers, Gold Puffy Heart and Star Stickers, White Puffy Alphabet Stickers, Autumn Fun Wood Veneer, Warm Solids Paper StackCool Solids Paper Stack, Thankful Paper Stack, Autumn Tab Stamp, Small Tile Alphabet Stamp

This sketch was so fun to work with! I just loved the composition and followed it almost 100%. I used the beautiful wood grain paper from the Thankful Paper Stack at the top and bottom of my page. I used my scalloped border punch for the top part. As I really love layering, instead of putting the three vertical columns next to each other, I brought them closer and layered them. I used both the Cool and Warm Solid Paper Stacks as well as the Thankful Paper Stack for this.

In the sketch, the title is a combination of regular and tile letters and this inspired me to use the Small Tile Alphabet Stamp in my title. After stamping and cutting them out, I combined them with the Autumn Fun Wood Veneer, overlapping the patterned papers to keep everything compact.

I placed my photo on top of the three paper stripes, matted with a beautiful mustard yellow journaling tag from the October Kit and added one of the October Labels. Inspired by the sketch, I also put three labels from the Home Sweet Home cardstock stickers at the bottom of each stripe. I wanted to create a list of what we enjoy in autumn. I numbered the labels with White Puffy Alphabet Stickers and stamped phrases from the Autumn Tab Stamp. I used the Small Tile Alphabet Stamp again to stamp and cut out “we enjoy.”

In the top right corner of my page I created a little cluster combining the Home Sweet Home Cardstock Stickers and a die cut from the kit. I repeated the falling leaves in two more places on the layout to create movement and balance. As a finishing touch, I added dots from the Gold Puffy Heart and Star Stickers and splatters of black ink to bring some more of the black color that I had in my stamped titles.

Using the sketch was so fun! It was very inspiring and helped me create this simple page in no time. I hope you give it a try too, using the beautiful October 2021 monthly kit and add-ons.

Documenting Trick or Treat Memories with Nicole Kerr

Hello ES friends! It’s Nicole here, and today I’m documenting Trick or Treat fun using the fabulous Halloween products from both the September and October releases! To do this, I’ll be working in my Storyline Chapters notebook. Over the past two months, we’ve had some amazing products to use for Halloween! I pulled all of the products together that I felt would work great to use for this project and had loads of fun documenting a fun night!

Supplies | October 2021 Kit, September 2021 Kit, October 2021 Cut Files, Halloween Cardstock Stickers, Trick or Treat Wood Veneer, Thankful Paper Stack, Medium Tile Alphabet Stamp, Large Star Jane Alphabet Stamp

I began with the right page because I had a vision for what I wanted it to look like. I started by using the October 2021 Cut Files to create my large tag, adding decorative ribbon to the top. I then stamped my title using the Large Star Jane Alphabet Stamp and the Medium Tile Alphabet Stamp. After those were in place, I added a 3 x 4 inch tag from the October 2021 Kit and photo, then used stickers from the Halloween Cardstock Stickers to embellish. How cute are those pumpkins?!

For my left side, I added a strip of the same black and white star paper from the Thankful Paper Stack to bring balance to the spread. I used four different 3 x 4 inch tags as photo layers, journaling and a title card. To create the title card, I used the cute web and Happy Halloween banner stickers from the Halloween Cardstock Stickers along with the Trick or Treat Wood Veneer.

For the other tags, I added my photos, labels, die cuts and stars to complete the spread. I also added the sticker strip from the Halloween Cardstock Stickers between the top and bottom which added the perfect pop of color to fill in the space!

I love the versatility that these monthly kits and add-ons offer each month! How do you plan on using them to document your Halloween moments and memories this year? Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope I’ve inspired you to get out your kits and have a “spooky” good time!

Autumn Fun with the Autumn Tabs Stamp and Sarah Kee

Hello, to all my beautiful Elle’s friends. It’s me, Sarah, up on the blog, and today I wanted to highlight and showcase one of my favorite stamps that were released this month: the Autumn Tab Stamp. Have you seen it?!

Here’s the layout I created using this stamp set:

Supplies | October 2021 Kit, Moss Green Cardstock Label Stickers, Home Sweet Home Cardstock Stickers, Autumn Heart and Star Acetate Stickers, Autumn Fun Wood Veneer, Autumn Tab Stamp, Halloween Cardstock Stickers, Thankful Paper Stack, Home Sewn Stitches Stamp, Jane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers – Navy

When I first saw these stamps, I knew exactly how I wanted to use it. The grid on the tab is perfect for coloring. How do I resist getting some fun, relaxing coloring time in?!

I first started by stamping a handful of tabs with black ink. Then, I stamped a sentiment/phrase onto each of my tabs. I colored the grid in coordinating colors. I wanted to make sure it matched up with the papers from the Thankful Paper Stack that I used. Then, I cut them out to use on my layout.

I directly stamped some fun stitch circles from the Home Sewn Stitches Stamp onto my white cardstock sheet to create my own background. I then layered my tabs on top of the stitch circles.

Whatever sentiment/phrase I stamped directly onto the tab, I made sure to stamp directly onto my cardstock around the stitch circles with a light gray ink. I used the light gray ink to create a shadow look.

Lastly, for my title, I used the Autumn Fun Wood Veneer. I’m always a fan of Elle’s Studio wood veneers—they make perfect titles for layouts.

That’s all I have for today! What’d you think of this stamp set? It’s a versatile one, don’t you think?! The tabs are good all year round, and the sentiment/phrases are perfect for those autumn projects you want to tackle. I honestly plan on using the Autumn Tab Stamp on most of my upcoming fall projects!

We would love to see your projects featuring this stamp set, so make sure to hit up the shop, and get yours today. Join us and share your projects with us at our Elle’s Studio Facebook Group or on Instagram using the hashtag #EllesStudio.

And as always, thanks for reading and letting me share my work here. It’s always a pleasure to be making pretty things with Elle’s Studio products!

A Week of Fall Fun with Jody Compton

Hello! It’s Jody joining you on the blog today to highlight a project in my memory planner!   I used the amazing October 2021 kit and add-ons to document our week off for fall break!

Supplies | October 2021 KitOctober 2021 Cut Files, Home Sweet Home Cardstock Stickers, Moss Green Cardstock Label Stickers, Jane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers – Moss Green, Moss Green Puffy Alphabet Stickers, Autumn Heart and Star Acetate Stickers, Autumn Fun Wood Veneer, Cozy Home Wood Veneers, Autumn Tab Stamp, Large Tile Alphabet StampSmall Tile Alphabet Stamp

I used the must have Autumn Tab Stamp to fill in all of the October 2021 Kit’s blank die cuts!  Every sentiment will work for all your autumnal projects. I also printed my pictures in a variety of sizes to fit the day.

I had used the Houses cut file on a previous project, but used the leftovers to create new embellishment clusters.  Using up scraps is so much fun!  The Autumn Heart and Star Acetate Stickers are perfect to pop around the pages.  They added a little color to help move your eyes around.

One of my favorite products from this release is the Home Sweet Home Cardstock Stickers. I loved the small leaves to scatter about. Instant color everywhere!

The moss green color is definitely my favorite new green from Elle’s Studio. It has the richness to use in autumn, but is also bright enough to use in spring. It is so easy to grab the Moss Green Cardstock Label Stickers to add phrases or some journaling.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, and I hope you’ve been inspired to create! Remember when creating with Elle’s Studio products, use the hashtag #EllesStudio when posting to social media so we are sure to see your amazing work!

Wonderful You, Three Ways with Nathalie Leonelli

Hello friends! It’s Nathalie here and it is my turn to share greeting cards I created with the new Sincere Sentiments Wonderful You collection. My card making heart was elated when Elle’s Studio introduced this collection earlier this month and, when paired with the equally exciting solid paper stacks, I was unstoppable!

Supplies | Sincere Sentiments Wonderful You Chipboard BannersSincere Sentiments Wonderful You Acetate StickersWarm Solids Paper StackCool Solids Paper StackSincere Sentiments Wonderful You StampSincere Sentiments Wonderful You Metal DieThankful Paper StackBanners Metal DiesAutumn Die CutsChristmas Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers

I found a sketch in the latest issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine and used it as inspiration to get started on my first card.

I selected a combination of papers from both the Warm and Cool solids paper stacks and added one patterned paper from the Thankful Paper Stack. I really loved combining the Wonderful You Stamp with the Acetate Stickers of the same name. They complement each other to create great sentiments.

For my second card, I continued creating with the same set of papers and pushed the sentiment in a circle idea a bit further.

I cut apart some of the acetate stickers to fill three of my punched circles and, using the Banners Metal Dies, added the rest of the sentiment with a stamp.

All my cards are embellished with one of my current favorites in the store, the Autumn Die Cuts. Despite being a fall-themed product, I find them so timeless. I believe these cards can be appreciated any time of year.

To finish, I decided to create another card keeping the same supplies but with a more “clean and simple” design.

I will leave you with a couple of tips:

  • Find one inspiration piece, like a sketch or someone else’s card, to start, but continue exploring the design elements of this piece to create more than one project.
  • To make it easier, limit your supplies. Select a combination of papers you like and use the same set of stamps and embellishments, especially when they offer so many options like the Wonderful You stamps and stickers.
  • Make several cards at a time to have a stack ready when you need one
  • Don’t be intimidated by fancy card making techniques. I didn’t use anything complicated here—I stamped with black ink, used punches and a manual die cutter. That’s it!

Thank you for stopping by. I hope to see lots of cards in the Elle’s Studio Facebook Group and on Instagram using the #EllesStudio hashtag!

Get Symmetrical with Shannon Dombkowski

Hi there, Elle’s Studio friends! It’s Shannon Dombkowski here to talk with you about symmetry. Maybe it’s just me and my perfectionist tendencies, but I kind of have a thing for symmetry. I find it just as satisfying as color coordination and putting items in rainbow order. Let’s get into how I used symmetry to make this 12 x 12 inch page.

Supplies | October 2021 KitOctober Labels, Moss Green Cardstock Label Stickers, Jane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers – Moss Green, Moss Green Puffy Alphabet Stickers, Autumn Heart and Star Acetate Stickers, Thankful Paper Stack, Autumn Tab Stamp

A quick glance will tell you that this page isn’t quite symmetrical, so let’s call it imperfectly symmetrical. The idea of splitting my layout down the middle and making both sides match came when I was adding the black star paper to my background. Elle’s Studio papers, and the Thankful Paper Stack that I used here are 6 x 8.5 inches, which means they aren’t long or wide enough to span a 12 x 12 inch page, but you can line them up in the middle and the seam is barely noticeable!

I am all for stretching my products, so I challenged myself to use 3 x 4 inch tags from the October Kit on my 12 x 12 inch layout. In the spirit of symmetry, I chose two tags for each side and layered them the same way. The top tag on the right side is a great frame for my photo while the top tag on the left side serves as my journaling. I lined the outer side of each of the bottom tags with a variety of labels, which adds to the symmetrical look and pulls my color palette through the layout.

Now, where this symmetry becomes imperfect is what brings interest to this page. To start, I added the die cuts on either side just slightly overlapping the center. I also added a couple of die cuts and labels to the top of my 3 x 4 inch tag clusters that don’t exactly match on both sides. Finally, I staggered where I put the different items on each side of my page. I feel like it still gets the point of symmetry across with a fun little twist.

Finally, I had to decide where to put my title. My initial inclination was to align it on the right-hand side of the layout just below the black patterned paper. That would have thrown everything off! Thanks to a t-square, I was able to make sure that my title is centered on my page to keep my symmetry theme consistent.

Allowing myself a little bit of creative freedom with my idea of symmetry (how many times can I write that word in one post?!) made this page really fun to put together. I hope I have given you some ideas about how to try this for yourself!
