Pumpkin Perfection with Kim Chaffin

Hello, friends! It’s Kim, and I am so excited to be here with you to share a fun and festive Halloween layout using the September 2022 Kit and extras! There are so many cute elements for the fall holidays. It’s almost too hard to choose. Let’s take a look!

Supplies | September 2022 KitHalloween Die Cuts, Autumn Chipboard Stickers, Halloween Tabs Stamp

When I saw all of the pumpkin elements in the September 2022 Kit and Halloween Die Cuts, I immediately thought of my family’s pumpkin carving photographs from last year that I hadn’t scrapbooked yet. I chose the cute pumpkin 3 x 4-inch pocket tag for my journaling. The “pumpkin carving” die cut was the perfect finishing touch.

A pumpkin and label die cut combo made the perfect spot for a date stamp!

I often love to pair a full-page photo with a pocket page, and this layout was no exception. I placed my title along one long side of the photo and embellished it with Halloween Die Cuts, Autumn Chipboard Stickers.

Finally, a pumpkin die cut from the September 2022 Kit stapled at the top of one of my pocket photos tied the whole thing together. I arranged the pumpkins on this page in a triangle. This is a great way to unify a layout. I added an adorable little pumpkin face stamp from the Halloween Tabs Stamp to the pumpkin.

I had so much fun with all of these fall goodies! I’ll just sit here and sip my pumpkin spice as I take a look at what you create this autumn using the September kit and extras!

Feels Like Fall with Kat Benjamin

Hello, friends! It’s Kat here today to share a new layout that I’ve created with the September kit and extras. Admittedly, it’s been a little difficult to get into the “fall spirit”, as we’ve been going through a terrible heat wave. However, these products certainly helped, and we finally got a cooler day last week! All the leaves were falling and my dog had a little spring in his step because the temperatures had finally dropped. I was struck in the moment that it is starting to feel like fall, so I snapped a quick pic of my pup surrounded by the fallen leaves and made that photo the focal point of my layout today.

Supplies | September 2022 KitAutumn Chipboard Stickers, Tiny Autumn Hearts and Stars Puffy Stickers, Orange Puffy Alphabet Stickers, Thankful Paper Stack, Love You Paper Stack, Medium Jane Alphabet Metal Die, Gold Star Paper Clips

For me, fall means a lot of layers and textures, so I wanted to find a way to incorporate a lot of layers and textures on my layout. On the left side of my page, I layered strips of patterned paper from the Thankful and Love You paper stacks, September Kit journaling cards, an Autumn Chipboard Sticker, a Gold Star Paper Clip, an Orange Puffy letter ‘M’ (for Moose), and my photo. I tried to add a little texture to one of the patterned papers by punching out a few circles from one of the papers.

I loved the look of the “negative” circles, so I decided to use that technique for my title, as well.  I used the Medium Jane Alphabet Metal Die to cut out the word “fall” and then used the negatives to make part of my title.  For the other portion of my title, I used the Orange Puffy Alphabet Stickers.

I finally added the last bit of texture to my layout by sprinkling around some mist and ripping the edges of my layout.  I backed the rips with one of the 4 x 6-inch journaling tags from the September Kit.

And voila—a layout that feels like fall! Have you started using your September products to document your fall memories? Make sure you tag us on social so we can see all your projects!

Autumn Family Fun with Wei Wei Wang

Hey, Elle’s Studio friends! It’s Wei Wei here today, and I’m excited to share a fun traveler’s notebook spread with you! I used the September 2022 kit and add-ons to create this layout documenting my family’s mid-autumn festival (also called Moon festival) celebration.

Supplies | September 2022 KitSeptember 2022 Labels, September 2022 Printables, Halloween Die CutsAutumn Chipboard StickersJane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers – Candy Corn, Tiny Autumn Hearts and Stars Puffy Stickers, Thankful Paper Stack, Halloween Tabs Stamp, Thin Labels Stamp, Thin Labels Metal Die

I started off by layering torn September Kit journaling tags and papers from the Thankful Paper Stack to house my photos before I got to work with the digitals.

I combined three photos and a journaling tag from the September Printables in Photoshop. The leaf is also from the printables! I recolored and resized them with the magic wand tool. Then, I printed out all the digital files and fussy cut the leaves to use as my embellishments.

I placed my photos on both sides of the pages and then got to work adding fun bits and pieces!
On the left side, I added labels and stars from the Halloween Die Cuts and Tiny Autumn Hearts and Stars Puffy Stickers on the sides of my photo, as well as the leaf from the September Printables. I also stamped phrases with the Halloween Tabs Stamp

On the right side of the page, I embellished the photo with many cute pieces from the September Kit, Halloween Die Cuts, and Autumn Chipboard Stickers. I just love all the bits and pieces layered up!

The Candy Corn Jane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers are my favorite! I thought the candy corn colors were perfect for not only Halloween but also my mid-August festival, so I decided to use them to spell out “pomelo” and “BBQ” for my spread.

I chose to keep my title simple and decided to add the title “family fun” from the September Kit journaling tag to the bottom of the page. To finish off, I stamped three labels using the Thin Labels Stamp, cut them with the Thin Labels Metal Die and layered them as embellishments on the bottom right corner.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to share your autumn projects created with the  September 2022 kit and add-ons in our Facebook Group, or on Instagram using the #EllesStudio hashtag! Happy creating!

Pumpkin Forever with Aimee Mertell

Hello, Elle’s Studio friends, and happy Fall! It’s Aimee here with you today sharing a festive fall layout using the September 2022 kit and add-ons! I just love fall—the colors, the smells, and the treats! One of my favs is, of course, pumpkin coffee. I know, it’s a little played out but I can’t help it! Whenever this yummy cold brew coffee comes out I have to pick one up. Let’s take a look at my ode to pumpkin coffee!

Supplies | September 2022 KitSeptember 2022 LabelsHalloween Die Cuts, Jane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers – Candy CornAutumn Chipboard Stickers, Black Puffy Alphabet StickersThankful Paper StackHalloween Tabs Stamp

I wanted to create a fun, clustery, layered page for this one and just have a little fun. I cut down the polka dot 4 x 6-inch tag from the September 2022 Kit as well as a 3 x 4″ tag to use as layers behind my photo. Never be afraid to do this—it works just as well as full-size patterned paper!

I created a cluster of frames up at the top of the page by overlapping frames from the Halloween Die Cuts and the Autumn Chipboard Stickers. I thought it would be fitting to add the chipboard sticker that says, “tradition” because tradition it is! It’s always a good idea to include stickers or elements that can bring context to your layout when possible.

I created a second cluster down at the bottom of the page to draw the eye across the layout and decided to do a festive title. I used the September 2022 Labels as an anchor and spelled out, “pumpkin forever”. How perfect are those Candy Corn Jane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers

To finish everything off, I added black acrylic paint splatter and some light stamping with the stars and sparkles icon from the Halloween Tabs Stamp. This photo doesn’t tell a particularly important story and it’s important to note that that isn’t a necessary prerequisite for scrapbooking. It’s still a bunch of fun to get messy and creative even if it’s just about the little things! I encourage you to document your favorite fall items or treats, if for no other reason but the joy of creating and embracing the season! What will you document?

Sketch Day with Diane Dziuban

Hi, everyone! Welcome to Sketch Day here on the Elle’s Studio Blog! It’s Diane here, and today I am sharing a 12 x 12-inch layout I created using this sketch and the beautiful September 2022 kit and add-ons!

As you can see, I stuck pretty close to the original sketch, with only a few changes:

Supplies | September 2022 Kit, Moss Green Puffy Alphabet Stickers, Autumn Chipboard Stickers, Tiny Autumn Hearts and Stars Puffy Stickers, Thankful Paper Stack, Autumn Tabs Stamp

I moved the title to the 3 x 4-inch tag from the September 2022 Kit on the top left, cutting out the leaf and adding vellum stamped with phrases from the Autumn Tabs Stamp. I really like how that gave a fun base to the title!

For the labels on the right side, I cut strips from the striped paper found in the Thankful Paper Stack, cutting them in the shape of banners. I then put labels in coordinating colors on top of the banners and stamped a phrase from the Autumn Tabs Stamp on each one. I liked how it brought some of the black text over to the right side.

I really had a lot of fun with this layout, and I love the bright fall colors in the September 2022 Kit! Sketches are such a great way to get the creative juices flowing—you can stick close to the original design like I did, or change it up however you want. It’s a great starting point! I could have had four photos in the 3 x 4-inch spots, but I thought it would be fun to move that title and bring in some journaling. That’s what is great about sketches, you can make them yours!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope this inspired you to try your hand at the sketch! If you do, we would love to see it! Make sure to use the hashtag #EllesStudio on Instagram or share it in the Facebook Group! Happy crafting!

Label Love with Suzanna Lee

Hello there Elle’s Studio fans! It’s Suzanna here today to share with you a large photo layout featuring the Thin Labels Stamp and coordinating Metal Die. If you know me, you know I’m all about large photos and labels. Labels, labels, and more labels! You can never have enough labels. This new stamp means you can make custom labels to coordinate with whatever color palette you want. And, this means an even wider selection of options in combination with the existing Star or Heart Labels Stamps!

Supplies | September 2022 Kit, Cerulean Blue Jane Alphabet Cardstock Stickers, Autumn Chipboard StickersTiny Autumn Hearts and Stars Puffy Stickers, Thankful Paper Stack, Typewriter Alphabet Stamp, Thin Labels Stamp, Thin Labels Metal Die

I used a thin strip of the multi-color striped patterned paper in the Thankful Paper Stack as the foundation of the color palette for my layout. I then stamped and die cut a variety of the size and “format” of the Thin Labels to coordinate. There are inverse rounded corner labels and diagonal corner labels available to select from in various widths and heights.

Should you care to set out on a similar endeavor these are the inks that I used, in order from top to bottom: Distress Oxide (DO) Fired Brick, DO Spun Sugar, DO Spiced Marmalade, PinkFresh Studio Peach Fuzz, PaperPerson Goldenrod, DO Bundled Sage, DO Rustic Wilderness, DO Faded Jeans.

The title of my layout “Currently Enjoying” is the top of a 3 x 4-inch pocket tag from the September 2022 Kit that I fussy cut, then the title continues to “@ 49”. Each label contains a tidbit of information about something I’m enjoying in the last few months of being 49 years old.

For some visual interest and texture, I added color-coordinated puffy hearts or stars from Tiny Autumn Hearts and Stars Puffy Stickers. The Thin Labels Stamp also has tiny heart and star stamps (classic Elle’s Studio!) and a few words. I used the date stamp for one label as well as a black stamped heart to add the black contrast to a label for movement down the layout.

There are so many great things you can do with stamps—label stamps in particular! If you already have these amazing stamps and use them, be sure to tag us #EllesStudio on Instagram, or post in our Facebook Group!

Hey fellow crafters! It’s Stephanie Aldaco with you and I am so grateful to be a guest designer this month for Elle’s Studio!

Supplies | September 2022 Kit, Halloween Die CutsJane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers – Candy Corn, Thankful Paper Stack, Halloween Tabs Stamp

Today I am sharing a layout I created using the spooky September 2022 kit and add-ons. As we head into the fall season, I am ready to complete my 2021 October Daily album. This layout I’m sharing today documents the outside decor we had in our front yard last year.

I created a flap to foreshadow the spookiness that lays underneath. As the viewer opens the flap, you get the full reveal of our pumpkin patch—now complete with a Pumpkin King!

The backside of the flap is where I placed a 3 x 4-inch tag from the September 2022 Kit that holds my journaling. I also have an additional photo of a cute skeleton frog we got this year. I finished off this layout with a few die cuts from the Halloween Die Cuts to accent my full-page photo. I love how this turned out! Stay tuned for another project to come later this month, and until then, be sure to follow me at all of my links below!

Hi, my name is Stephanie. I am a wife and mother to three boys. I run on coffee and putting my life on paper. You can usually find me dabbling in all things crafty, or reading a book.

Everyday Life in Pockets with LeeAnne Jones

Hello, everyone! It’s LeeAnne here. I’m back on the Elle’s Studio blog today to share a few ways you can use the September 2022 kit and coordinating extras to document everyday life moments in a pocket page layout.

Supplies | September 2022 KitSeptember 2022 Labels, White Jane Alphabet Cardstock Stickers, Autumn Chipboard StickersTiny Autumn Hearts and Stars Puffy Stickers, Heart and Star Chipboard Stickers – Warm, Thankful Paper Stack

This month’s kit is full of deliciously rich hues marking the transition from summer to fall. I do monthly pocket page documenting for my family, and this layout covers some of our favorite moments from September 2021.

I tried something different with my title card this month. For a couple years now, I’ve devoted a full 4 x 6-inch pocket to the title, but lately it’s felt like space that would be better used for another photo, you know? Last month, I put the title on top of a 4 x 6-inch photo. You can see that project HERE. This month, seeing the striped journal tag inspired me to try a 3 x 4-inch title card paired with a 3 x 4-inch photo—and then slip them both inside the top-left pocket. For “September,” I arranged White Jane Alphabet Cardstock Stickers directly on the journaling tag, and then embellished with chipboard stars. I love how it turned out!

The September 2022 Labels are among my all-time favorite label shapes for pocket pages. They are skinny enough to stick on top of photos without covering much, and they are so long, that you can cut them in half and have twice as many to use!

Also, random life-documenting tip: Get up above your subject. This angle can often convey so much more story. This is a photo of my kids doing their homework, but it’s also a recorded memory of what their handwriting looked like, their collection of water cups, the rejected sandwich crusts, and the way they organized their crayons.

If you’ve seen my work, you know how much I love using 4 x 4-inch photos and photo collages in my pocket page documenting. This photo of my kid’s messy face had nothing interesting going on in the background, so it was easy to crop to 4 x 4-inches and use those extra two inches of pocket space for patterned paper. It’s an easy way to add more color to your layout. The adorable “love this” tag is an embellishment in the September 2022 Kit!

Most of the embellishments in this cluster are included in the kit as well. The “Hello Autumn” piece was pointing to the right, which didn’t work for this orientation, so I covered up the point with a chipboard star. Make it work!

Well, that’s it for this time! I hope this layout inspires you to document your September memories, large and small. When you do, share with the hashtag #ellesstudio on Instagram, or in our Facebook Group. We can’t wait to see your projects!

Hello Autumn with Michelle Flynn

Hi friends! Can you believe autumn is right around the corner! September is one of my favorite months of the year when those last days of summer sunshine lead into autumn, my favorite season of the year! The September 2022 kit and add-ons are so beautiful and they inspired me to document this sweet September day.

Supplies | September 2022 Kit, Autumn Chipboard Stickers, Tiny Autumn Hearts and Stars Puffy Stickers, Thankful Paper Stack, Thin Labels Stamp, Attacher Metal Die

I don’t really feel as if I have a particular style, but I have noticed that I’m really drawn to a monochromatic color scheme. I just love a variety of tones from the same color and Elle’s Studio has such beautiful shades of all colors. I chose two perfect pocket tags for the season from the September 2022 Kit. They both have such pretty shades of green that just draw me in. One of my favorite things to do when the monthly kit arrives is the fun selection process of pocket tags and die cuts and the inspiration it brings. I enjoy searching for the perfect pocket tags that compliment the photos and the memories.

For the top pocket tag from the September 2022 Kit I decided to use a cropped photo in the journaling space, it’s another simple way to get full use from your pocket tags. I added a sweet puffy heart in the middle of the design at the top of the pocket tag using the Tiny Autumn Hearts and Stars Puffy Stickers. With my tiny stapler, I adhered the perfect autumn sentiment using the die cuts from the September Kit. Just a few little added elements on one pocket tag really brought this moment to life. The bottom pocket tag, “Thankful” is such a favorite. How absolutely beautiful is the script and color on this tag! I adore it! I used the fun new Thin Labels Stamp to create a simple stamped journaling grid that kept with my monochrome theme.

I moved to the right side of my layout and decided to go with a full-size photo from this September day which gave me an opportunity to use the Attacher Metal Die, and friends, I just can’t stop using this die! It’s quickly become a fast favorite! I used a sheet of green striped paper from the Thankful Paper Stack and it was perfect for the color tones in this layout.

After adhering the attachers to the full-size photo, I still had two photos I wanted to include in this spread. I made a quarter-inch slit in the middle of my full-size photo and cropped both photos in an effort to create a flip of both photos which would lay directly on top of the full-size photo. I backed the top photo with white cardstock, it’s one of my favorite photos with the green and burgundy shades on the tree, it was like a tiny peek into autumn on this September day and I think it coordinates perfectly with the shades of colors I used from the September Kit.

I still had my Attacher Metal Die out and I had an idea to make one more attacher, only this one would be used as a tiny door to open the flip. I ran the die through my big shot and I cropped off a small piece of it, adhered it to the outside of the photo, and realized it did work perfectly as a little door to open the flip. I love the shape of it and it was super fun to find one more way to use the new dies!

I chose the gorgeous “autumn captured” pocket tag from the September Kit and sized it down for the backside of the flip. I adhered my second photo to it—a beautiful little water spring we came upon that day. I love the autumn look of it adhered to that pocket tag. I finished this layout off by adding a sweet little white chipboard heart to my full-size photo using the Autumn Chipboard Stickers. I added another adorable puffy heart with the same tones in my layout using the Tiny Autumn Hearts and Stars Puffy Stickers.

Thanks so much for sharing your time with me today! I hope you get as much joy documenting your memories with this release as I did! Share your memory keeping inspiration from the September 2022 kit and add-ons with us on Instagram using the #ellesstudio hashtag or on the discussion board of our Facebook Group!
