Hiya, Elle’s Studio fans! It’s Suzanna here today and we are going to the border! The “edges” of the border, that is, with this month’s stamp: Fun with Borders! Fourteen border stamps and so very many options! I have created six layouts with the May 2021 kit and add-ons and used this stamp set in each and every one. It has to be one of my new favorites.

The bulk of the right hand side of this large photo layout was created using the Fun with Borders Stamp. The “bordered lines” form the whole column, stamped askew as you move down the page, with black ink. These lines form the foundation that houses the rest of the embellishment for the page.
The color palette of this large embellishment cluster draws it’s origin from the rainbow striped paper found in the new Good Times Paper Stack that pokes out from the edge of the photo. Intermingled as you move down the page are digital die cut borders from the May 2021 Cut Files. These are a great digital version of some of the stamps, the Puffy Banners and Border Stickers, Treasure This Vellum Stickers and various dies from the main kit.
Interspersed amongst all those goodies are various stamps from the Fun with Borders Stamp. Each of the different borders is stamped in the corresponding color to that of the patterned paper.
Hopefully I can save you some detective work and here are the inks that I used (as you move from top to bottom);
Red – VersaFine, Satin Red
Pink – Catherine Pooler, Be Mine
Rust/Orange – PaperPerson, Tomato Soup
Lt Orange – Pink Fresh, Peach Fuzz
Yellow – PaperPerson, Goldenrod
Lt Yellow – Catherine Pooler, Chiffon
Purple – Jane Davenport, Sea Anenome
Violet/Lt Purple – Distress Oxide, Milled Lavender
Aqua – Distress Oxide, Evergreen Bough
Mint – Pink Fresh, Mint
Navy Blue – Distress Oxide, Chipped Saphire
Lt Blue – Distress Oxide, Tumbled Glass
Bright Blue – Distress Oxide, Salty Ocean
Green – Catherine Pooler, Grass Skirt
Not to say that there aren’t other inks that would match, but this is a great starting point!
