Our November kit is all about giving thanks and celebrating, and when combined with our Family Fun collection, the two pair to create a perfect layout about the people or things we love. Today Jamie Leija is with us to share a layout she made about the story of her new home! Let’s see what she created.
Hiya! It’s Jamie and lately I’ve been dying to make a layout. It seems like all I’ve been making is pocket pages. Not that I don’t love them, I just wanted to get back to my roots and make a proper layout.

This layout was created using the November Kit and extras along with the Family Fun 12″ x 12″ Paper Collection. I started by adding a bit of mist to the background paper, first by adding drips then by adding swipes with a paint brush. Next, I figured out where I wanted my photos to go and then worked outward from there.
I stamped my title directly onto the background paper using the Stanley Alphabet Solid Stamp and Stanley Jr. Alphabet Solid Stamp with dark green ink. Then I added in some embellishments—labels, die cuts, stamped and punched images and a few puffy hearts.
I hand cut the heart below my photos from one of the 3″ x 4″ journaling tags included in the November Kit. I loved those colorful stripes! I mirrored them on the left of the side of the page using journaling tags and patterned paper. You’ll notice I put the colors in the same order as they are on the striped heart.
To finish the page, I journaled around the heart, added a label, a die cut and a puffy heart. It felt so good to make this layout and I love how it came out.
