A Grid Layout and Process Video with Jen Schow

We love seeing the new Live Laugh Love collection popping up on your projects, but if you haven’t created with Elle’s Studio tags before, you may be wondering, “What do I do with these 3″ x 4″ tags besides journal on them?” Today, Jen Schow is showing us a tried and true design method to break us out of our design dilemma: a grid!

Hey there! It’s Jen Schow here to show you one of my favorite ways to use the Elle’s Studio journaling tags on a layout – a simple grid! I’ve used this technique time and again with 3″ x 4″ and 4″ x 6″ tags and photos.

Each tag creates a nice resting place for journaling, titling, and embellishment. The paint strokes tag from the Live Laugh Love Double Sided Journaling Tags is one of my favorites and it worked perfectly for my title about my nephews who are always “On the Move”.

I added texture and interest to one of the tags from the April 2017 Kit with some enamel dots and stamping.

I added journaling to the final tag and sprinkled some vellum stars and painted wood veneer confetti stars to the top left and bottom right of the layout.

You can see how it all came together in my process video! I hope this layout inspires you to try a grid with some of your journaling tags.
