AV Documentation with Jamie Leija

How often do you document what you’re listening to, what you’re reading, or what you’re watching? Those details in our life are important, too, and today Jamie Leija is here to show us how fun the documenting can be with the April 2017 Kit and add-ons!

Hiya, it’s Jamie and today I’m sharing a pocket page highlighting my latest favorites in AV entertainment. I’ve just got into audio books. They are so great for car trips and were especially helpful the other day when I was painting the walls of my bedroom. I wanted to be sure to document the first two I’ve listened to. I’ve also discovered two new podcasts and was blown away by, and I watched Beauty & the Beast so knew I wanted to incorporate that here too.

It’s so important to me, to capture these small life details. I want to flip back in my scrapbook and remember that Richard Simmons podcast everyone was obsessed with in spring 2017. I want to remember that I first discovered audio books this year. I want to highlight what was keeping me entertained, even if it was only for a season of my life.

I put this pocket page together with the help of the April 2017 Kit and extras. I wanted it to be bright and colorful, so I immediately gravitated to that awesome rainbow chevron journaling tag. The black and white card next to it is so versatile. You could document anything under the sun with it! Plus decorating was easy since there was so much empty space. I added a die cut from the kit, vellum star, puffy alpha and puffy hearts!

I thought the Sights and Sounds stamp was perfect for this page. I think I originally thought of this as a nature sentiment. But its so versatile that it can easily apply to podcasts and audio books and movies! I used several different ink colors and repeatedly stamped the sentiment on a diagonal.

I added small embellishments around the spread: stickers and die cuts directly on top of photos, a label and vellum stars.

I hope you’ll consider documenting these small details in a future pocket or scrapbook page! I love anything that captures the place and time and there’s nothing like our entertainment to sum it up.
