Nancy Damiano is so talented at creating bold, graphic layouts, and today’s creation is no exception. We love how she used the Vellum Sentiments front and center in her layout to create a “shelf” under her photo. Let’s take a look at how this page came together in Nancy’s studio!

Hey there Elle’s Studio fans! It’s Nancy here today with a look at the March 2017 Kit. This month we have a beautiful palette that includes blue, aqua, green, and a touch of yellow. I love the fresh look of this month’s kit.
My favorite embellishments included in the add-ons this month are the Vellum Sentiments with rich colors and clean text- they are just my style! Here I lined them up just under the photo to frame it in. I added a mini staple at the top of each circle to add a pop of texture.
Once I had all of my elements lined up, I decided to make an embellishment of my own. I kept it simple by cutting one pocket from a divided page protector, filling it with Blue Green Mix Sequins and then sewing up the top. Tucking it just behind the photo gave the area a bit of spark and shine. It’s fun to make clear pockets that add just the right detail to a layout.
To create the title up at the top, I kept it the design nice and clean. The white against white of the Friends Acrylic was embellished with a Spring Mix Acrylic Star at the top and lines of stamped text just underneath using the File Under Stamp. Lining it all up in the center creates a nice flow to the design.
