Today we have Allie Stewart on the blog to help us celebrate Elle’s Studio’s tenth birthday, using the Happy Birthday mini collection. We absolutely love her layout, the die-cuts, the texture she created, and especially what she did with her Large Wood Veneer Numbers. Let’s take a look!
Hello and happy birthday to Elle’s Studio! I’m excited to be sharing a birthday-themed layout in honor of TEN years of gorgeous Elle’s Studio products! I’m loving the super cute new Happy Birthday mini collection in the shop, and I had so much fun using these bright, new products on my page.

I knew I wanted to use the adorable Acrylic Birthday Candles on my page, and candles definitely need a cake! I started by cutting a cake shape with my Silhouette die-cutting machine. I loved all the fun patterns in the Happy Birthday Journaling Cards, but the cake die-cut was too big for them to be a backing. I used a square punch to break the patterns down, and then backed the cake with the squares. It was a great way to add texture to the page, and get the pattern across the entire die-cut! Once the cake was done, I glued the cake and candles down at an angle.
Next, I wrapped the “2” and the “7” from the Large Wood Veneer Numbers in yellow twine. The easiest way to do that is to coat the entire letter in adhesive (I used my ATG gun), and start wrapping. Once the numbers were done, I placed them near my photo and glued it all down.
I finished off the page with extra pizzazz using the Acrylic Birthday Confetti pieces, as well as the super fun tissue paper confetti pieces that are part of the free gift with any March purchase! I had so much fun making this page, and I love how festive it is. I hope you’ll join our birthday celebration, and scrapbook your birthday memories with the Happy Birthday mini collection!
