Summer 2010 Documented – video tutorial!

Sheri has went above and beyond and put together a video tutorial of the Summer 2010 Documented mini book she made! I feel so blessed and excited to be able to share this with you today – it is so inspiring to watch as she takes you step-by-step through her book and even explains how she put it together with the hybrid kit!

P.S. We’ve been getting a ton of emails, so I wanted to give everyone a little update… My sister hasn’t had her baby, yet! Should be very soon, though! Sooooo excited!!

Summer 2010 Documented!

Our Summer 2010 Documented kit is now avaiable over at JessicaSprague.com! This is a hybrid kit, so it comes with three pdf pages that you open and print out. There are 28 different components in the set – including an envelope that can hold some of the tags, little flags, a postcard, journaling tags and more!

Sheri made this adorable booklet below for the Inspiration Gallery, but I wanted to highlight it again so you can see what you can make with this fun kit! Also, over at JessicaSprague.com you can see what others have made, too! Don’t forget – you can click on each photo to make it larger!
So inspiring! Thanks, Sheri!!

Hope everyone is having a great summer! We are hard at work in the studio on the upcoming journaling class and new items for Halloween and Christmas! Eeek!! Plus, we are eagerly awaiting my sister’s baby 🙂 So much fun!!

Love ya!

The Baby Project – part four

Thank you so much for following this project and all your super sweet comments! I had so much fun doing this and I got to give it to her a couple weeks ago – she loved it! I also had a bunch of photo pages, and an extra 12 x 12 album (I thought it was going to be thicker than it was), so I gave those to her, too! Now she is going to use both 12 x 12 albums as her photo album for his first year, with the layouts tucked in between the regular photos! So fun!!

Besides putting this album together, the other fun part was buying all the items! I’d been buying items here and there for awhile, but once we found out it was a boy I could really stock up!

The first three items on my list of “must haves” for an album like this is, of course, our Elle’s Studio items 🙂

Each page contained one of these Month-to-Month tags:
Some contained our Baby Note tags (which also fit perfectly in the ATC pages for special keepsake notes):
And, our Month Circle tags – which I filled in the number with blue glitter and it turned out so pretty!
Some of my other favorites and must haves are below – these products where awesome and some I even used up, entirely! I will restock these in my scrap room for sure, for future layouts:

Paper Girl Collection – Chipboard Alphabet:
EK Success Bubbles Edger Punch:
Making Memories Felt Stars:
Making Memories Felt Alphabet:
Jillbean Soup Alphabet Letter Stickers:
October Afternoon Thrift Shop Stickers:
October Afternoon – Ducks in a Row Cardstock Stickers:
Evalicious embellishments:

And, this is the album I put it all in – it matches his room perfectly! Making Memories Pitter Patter 12 x 12 album:

Thank you for letting me share all these exciting things with you 🙂 and for all your super sweet comments! I’ll make sure I take some photos of the layouts with the photos on them so you can see the end result!

The Baby Project – part three

Eek! This is the third part of the album, can’t believe we are already here! I did do quite a few extra pages that I won’t be showing here (they’re more on the personal side), but I’m super excited to be able to share these 🙂

I’m also excited to see how it ends up looking once she puts the photos in. And, I’ll have to do a follow up with those!

Month nine:
Month ten:
Month eleven:
Month twelve:
Ta da! Woohoo! 🙂 I was so thrilled to be able to complete this project for my sister and her husband and their new bundle of joy! Her due dates getting closer and closer 😀

Thanks for stopping by! Tomorrow I’ll do a highlight post of all the products I used and LOVE!!

The Baby Project – Part Two

Thank you all so much for the sweetest comments on part one of this album! They made my WEEK! I had so much fun creating this project, each page is so different and I got to try a bunch of different techniques I’d been thinking about – so much fun!

I’m also excited you are liking my clusters! This is the technique I used throughout the entire book. With the photo spots being 8 x 10’s, they take up a majority of the page. Plus, making the pages so the photo can slide underneath all the embellishments was a bit tricky and the clusters made it easier 🙂

On to the next four months!

Month five:
Month six:
Month seven:
Month eight:
I think my favorite month is month seven 🙂 It falls in February so I had to do the hearts and a little extra glitter! For month eight, the picture slides behind the little onesies. And for month five, I used the Martha Stewart punch for the border – that was so much fun, too! I wanted it to look like a quilt and was so excited with how it turned out!

I’ll post the last four months on Friday, and then some supply highlights on Saturday – including the super cute album I put it in 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

The Baby Project – Part One

I’m so excited to be able to start sharing this huge project with you! I’ll be sharing it in 4 parts over the next week or two 🙂

As most of you know, I’m going to be an auntie very, VERY soon! This is the first baby for our family so we are extremely excited 🙂 My sister loves to scrapbook, but doesn’t really have enough time to fully devote herself to making an entire scrapbook. After she finished her wedding album, she decided that other albums she made would be made a lot simpler, but she really, REALLY wanted a baby book.

So, I decided to make her a book! I wanted to give her the book before he was born, have her do the journaling so it’s even more special for her baby, and make it super easy to complete so she can devote all her time to her new baby!

Her final book contains: Pages of her belly growing, nursery shopping and decorating, pages of her showers with the gift lists tucked in, hospital page, meeting the family page with photo spots, and, of course, a page for every month for his first year!

And, here’s a peek inside! This is the first page, for the month pages. I suggested journaling the day and time he was born, plus his weight and height, on the card. You can click on each photo to view it larger.
Month one:
Month two:
Month three:
Month four:
The book is made so she will be putting the photos in – the large colored squares of cardstock will be mostly covered by an 8 x 10 inch photo. The photo will tuck under all the embellishments!

It was so, SO much fun creating this and giving it to her was just as fun, too! She loved it!

More coming soon, along with a post on tips for how I did things and product suggestions. If you have any questions please let me know!
