Today’s sketch was inspired the layout ‘so lucky‘ from our guest designer, Emily.

I love everything about Emily’s layout. The placement of the pictures and elements, the colors, the splatters of stars and candy buttons… amazing!

A sneak peek at June’s kit + Cameron and Saltwater coming soon!

June’s limited edition monthly kit is just around the corner and we’ve got the very first sneak peek posted above! Our kits go live on the 10th of each month at 8:00 am PST for a special launch day price of $9.99 – after midnight, they then go up to $11.99, so make sure you sign up for our newsletter and mark your calendars! These kits are a limited edition and once they sell out we will not be restocking, so make sure you don’t miss them!

We are also excited to announce that our two brand new collections, Cameron and Saltwater, will also be available on the 10th at 8:00 am, too, so you’ll be able to get everything in one shipment! They’ll all be listed under the “New” section on our website next Monday at 8:00 am PST.

And, then, we had a quick question for you guys! We’ve been getting a lot of requests to offer a subscription for our monthly kits and we wanted to gauge how much interest there was for this. If you are interested, could you email us and let us know? We’ll keep a list and if we decide to offer this in a couple months, you’ll be the first to know! We are also looking for options to get the international shipping price down – if you live outside of the USA and would like a “bundle and save” option (where we would ship your kits together every other month so there would only be one shipping charge), please mention that in the email, too.

We can’t can’t say it enough, we appreciate all of your support SO much! It’s because of each one of you that we get to keep creating new and exciting things and we absolutely LOVE getting to see all your creations with these products!

June’s Inspiration Gallery is now LIVE!

Happy June, everyone! Are you ready for another amazing month of inspiration from our design team? They’ve put together over 30 projects for our Inspiration Gallery to get you inspired and they all focus on our two newest collections, Cameron and Saltwater, and our May kit. There’s something for everyone in there, from layouts, to cards, and more!

We are also excited to welcome Emily Spahn as our special guest this month! We love her fun style and were so excited to see what she did with the new collections, too! Check them all out in the gallery and make sure you log in and leave some love for each one. Also, don’t forget you can click the heart to bookmark the layout, too!

Also, stay tuned for Monday! We’ll be announcing when the new collections will appear in our shop, along with a fun little sneak peek of our next limited edition kit for June!

Father’s day cards


Hello and happy weekend!! We’re back today with a couple of fun father’s day cards. Sarah Webb designed this one with a great combination of frames, banners and masculine colors. I love it! 
  1. Cut vellum and adhere to back of polariod frame
  2. Run edge of large journaling tag through border punch, trim off tab
  3. Adhere journaling tag to card base and polaroid frame on top of tag
  4. Adhere Father’s Day sentiment to top right corner of polaroid frame
  5. Add the twine and adhere two more labels to create a banner on the card
  6. Stamp the base of the polaroid frame and add jewels


I made the ‘Happy Father’s Day’ tag, from our monthly kit, pop and stay the center of attention by adding just a little color behind it.

  1. Start with a white card- 4×6
  2. Attach a 4×6 journaling card to the front
  3. Wrap twine around the tag and attach to card with foam dots
  4. Add a red snippet and rossette behind the tag
  5. Cut a strip of paper and attach to bottom. Sentiment reads: “love you to the stars and back“
  6. Embellish with buttons and sequins


And finally, a not-so fatherly but perfect for spring card. I used the ‘kit’ I made for this blog post 😉

  1. Start with a white card- 4.25×5.5
  2. Cut the green paper to fit inside the frame. Sentiment reads: You’ll never know, dear, how much I love you
  3. Create banners with patterned papers and tape
  4. Layer and arrange with existing banner
  5. Embellish with candy buttons and clouds
  6. Attach frame to card

    sketch thursday


    Welcome back to sketch Thursday! Today’s sketch is all about white space. One of my favorite design techniques. 
    Just like the sketch, I kept my layout very simple. I cut out the circle background in two different colors, layered on tissue paper and added a couple of tags that work both as the title & embellishments. Finally, I added a few small details to the bottom for balance.

    Challenge!

    It’s that time!  Are you ready for another Challenge? Here’s how it works: Every other week we will give you a layout example and a short description of what to do/use for the particular challenge. Complete the challenge and upload it to our member gallery or your blog to be entered to WIN!     Project Life Member Gallery Spotlight

    It’s Project Life Tuesday, and today we are highlighting three Project Life spreads that caught our eye in the Member Gallery!

    First is the bright and colorful spread by Akihasmomma.  I love the colors and how she used our Day to Day papers throughout the spread to pull the colors together.

    This beautiful spread is by thestafford5@yahoo.ca.  I love how she used pieces from our May 2013 Kit.  I am also loving all the everyday life captured in her photography!

    I love every bit of this spread by anncorbierescott.  I am loving the small photo tags in the pocket, the small photos in the 4×6 pocket, and the photo of the writing on the steps– it’s all perfect!

    Our two brand new collections have started shipping and can be found in local stores and online! We wanted to let you guys know that they are now in-stock at the following places online: Two Peas in a Bucket, Blue Moon Scrapbooking, and A Cherry On Top (20% off weekend sale for Memorial Day). They will also be coming soon to Simon Says Stamp and Scrapbook.com.
