This spread is by photochic17. I love how she used a different style pocket page and mixed it up. She did an amazing job highlighting the pink and teal from the Penelope line.
AnitaP created this fabulous layout. I love the bright colors, the photo of the pumpkins, and what looks like a book cover photo.

This past week I was able to sit down and work on several weeks of Project Life. Keeping it simple was the key and it felt great to get caught up! I used the Elle’s Studio October 2013 Kit and split it up over several weeks. It is my go-to product for Project Life!
This week includes a mix of the everyday and special events. I saved a napkin from a date night we had this week, and an invitation to an Oktoberfest party we attended.
I placed a few of my tags and embellishments outside of the pockets this week. The tidbit circle on the right page is outside of the pocket and stapled in the middle so it was on the seam. The cork heart on the right page was adhered outside the pocket. I always do this with bulkier embellishments because I like that it doesn’t create a glare on the pocket.
A fun idea I incorporated this week was placing the “Boys will be Boys” tag from the Cameron Tabs collection in between photos of my son and his friend and a photo of my husband with his high school buddies. I hand cut arrows from the Pinwheel paper from the Saltwater collection and placed them outside the pockets as well. I stapled them to the pages on the seam.
We want to feature your Project Life album! During the last week of each month we will be featuring a couple Project Life spreads that caught our eye in the Member Gallery. We will be posting Project Life spreads on our blog tomorrow! If your spread is featured we will be sending you a $5 gift card to use in our store. Good Luck!
Project Life was created by Becky Higgins as a way to simplify how you document life and preserve memories. Photo pockets used in my Project Life album are created by Becky and can be found here. You can read of all the Elle’s Studio Project Life posts here.
It’s not always just the “big” moments in life that we need to focus clearly on; it’s those small accomplishments that mean so much to our little ones.
You’ll notice I mixed in a few black & white images in my layout. Not only did this add a bit more interest to my design, but I was also able to hide the fact that my son was wearing a red sweatshirt that didn’t mesh so well color wise with my page. It’s the little things right? LOL!
A quick way to add a bit more journaling or information to your page is to add wording directly into your image via Photoshop before sending it to print.
I created a spread in my Project Life album this time around using both the September and October Tag kits together.
I am happy to introduce our October Guest Designer, Geralyn Sy.
We’ve reached the end of another month and we loved seeing what you’re sharing using our #EllesStudio hashtag!
We are so excited to share with you one of our newest products – Wood Veneers! We’ve made three sets and have stocked them in the shop – just in time for the holidays! Plus, all these wood veneers coordinate with our Noel collection!
Here’s a peek at the three sets:
Two of the largest pieces are sized just under 3 x 4 inches, too! I can’t wait to get started adding these to my layouts, Project Life album, and even Christmas cards!
We also wanted mention again that our October kit is getting close to being sold out – thank you so much, everyone! We don’t know how much longer they’ll be around for, so if you’ve been eying them, you might want to grab one while supplies last! Once our kits are sold out we will not be restocking.
And, if you’ve been following us on instagram you saw a special sneak peek of our November kit yesterday… well we couldn’t wait any longer! Here’s another sneak peek of what’s coming on November 10th:
It’s the perfect mix of gratitude tags and tags for the holidays, even for your December Daily! Make sure you are signed up for our newsletter to receive a reminder when our next kit goes live!
We are so excited about all these new things – thank you so much for stopping by!
