Becky says: “Until a few weeks ago I had very limited experience with Therm O Web and their amazing products. I fell in love with them one by one when I pulled each new product out of the box. I adore the glitter photo corners and the Sticky Tape Mini Runner. The mini tape runner is the perfect size and is a great adhesive. I will be throwing it in my bag for my next crop!

For this project, I used the adhesive foam squares under the title to give some extra dimension and the double sided sticky tape was perfect for creating a pocket to hold my journaling.”

Design Team Highlight – Digital Cut Files

Today we wanted to highlight how some of our Design Team members used our Digital Cut files for March!
Juliana Michaels Lucky You layout features our four leaf clover layered throughout the background on this layout – what a fun way to use that cut file!
Yuki Shimada’s Lucky card features our star banner along the bottom. This would be such a beautiful card to receive in the mail!
Valerie Bishop also used the clover cut in her I Am So Lucky To Have You In My Life layout and the title also came from the March Cut file. Which might also be a sneak peek for something coming on April 10th!!
And, then Patricia Roebuck used both the clover and the hello from our cut file on her You Are My Lucky Charm layout. Which she also made a video for us showing how the layout came together – So fun to watch the process!

Team Up with Therm O Web – Birthday Banner

Our team up week with Therm O Web continues! Through the next week we will be featuring projects using our collections with their products! Also, make sure you visit their blog, too, for even more inspiration!

Today’s project is by WaiSam Ho:

WaiSam Ho: says: “I was so excited when I received a box of goodies from Therm O Web as I was running out of my usual adhesives for few weeks – Love, love, love all the adhesive that Therm O Web sent and I was too thrilled and decided to use it to make a birthday banner for my little one. Among these bunch of goodies, my favorite would be the ZOTS (the adhesive dots in medium sized) and also tape glue runner! I love how pretty their colors are (in pink, green and purple – all my favorite) and also they are really light. So suitable for someone who craft long hours like me!

Here’s the birthday banner that I have made using a lot of Elle’s studio’s papers and Therm O Web adhesive. They are so sticky that I do not have worry that something might fall off after I hang it up on the wall.

This is part of the circle garland that I made – which is very easy to be made. All you need is some papers (I use a lot of Elle’s Studio papers in orange and blue, and also some cardstocks), various sizes of circle punches and a good ol’ sewing machine. Punch a bunch of circles out then sew them with sewing machine in straight line and then you can already started hanging them on the wall.

I decided to have a Whale themed (with orange and white and blue combination) birthday party for my boy. So I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the whales, circles and letters. Stuck all the letters on the whales and big circles using the Therm O Web tape runner. Then I punched two holes on each side of the circles, string them together with ribbons. Off to hang the banner now! I done all these under 3 hours – including coming up with the theme, browsing pinterest, picking out papers and materials.”

So cute and we loved seeing all the Elle’s Studio papers, from different collections, combined into one project! FUN!! Thanks, WaiSam Ho!

Team Up with Therm O Web – My Boys

We are so excited to have teamed up with Therm O Web – for the next two weeks we will be featuring projects using our collections with their products! Also, make sure you visit their blog, too, for even more inspiration!

Today’s “My Boys” layout is by Jenny Evans:
Jenny says: “I used the Love You More collection to go with my Therm-O-Web adhesives. I fell in love with the Glitter Dust, and used it on the entire background. I decided to go with a simple style, as I didn’t want to cover up the background! I used the Supertape to adhere my big strips of paper, and the Sticky Dot Runner for my smaller pieces. Both easy to use and adhere wonderfully! My other favorite adhesive is the 3D Foam Squares. I love adding dimension, and these are perfect for that!”

We love it, Jenny and that background is amazing with that Glitter Dust! Thank you for the inspiration today!

SKETCH THURSDAY

Hello and happy Thursday everyone! Today’s sketch was inspired by WaiSam’s Feeding Time layout from this month’s gallery.

DT member, Patricia played along this week and created this beautiful layout:

Patricia said: The sketch inspired me to stay with the three blocks in the middle, but in different sizes. I have the photo, which is the largest size, then the cut frame, and then the die cut banner. I framed all of it with a piece of pattern paper adding embellishments around it.

Team Up with Therm O Web – Days like these

Today’s “Days like these” layout is by Valerie Bishop:

Valerie says: “I’ve always loved using Therm O Web products – especially the Zots and the 3d squares – they’ve been staples for me and my crafting since I first started scrapbooking so I was thrilled to join in on the Elle’s Studio/Therm O Web team-up!

I was intrigued by the Glitter Dust as I had never seen it before, and I loved the effect it gave to the wood veneer pieces that I used on my layout!! I used the permanent Sticky Dot Runner on most of the paper pieces. I love how easy it makes adding adhesive to a diecut title! For the wood veneer pieces (the banner pieces and the ampersand from Elle’s Studio Everyday Moments Collection), I first inked the pieces, then I sprayed them with a couple of coats of the iridescent Glitter Dust. It made the wood so glimmery and shiny!! I used the Supertape to help adhere the twine to my wood banner pieces – I attached a small piece across the top back of each piece and then wrapped the twine around it. It really held it in place and made it easy to attach the banner to my layout. I attached the banner using the medium Zots singles. I used the 3D foam Squares (1/4″ x 1/4″) on the back of the ampersand to give it some extra dimension.

I used patterned papers from Elle’s Studio Everyday Moments and Love You More Collections and I made a photo mat using the Elle’s Studio star banner digital cut available for March to layer behind my photo. This was a fun project to make and it came together so quickly since I had all the perfect types of adhesives right at my fingertips!!”

PROJECT LIFE

Today’s Project Life covers the week of March 17-23 and is also part of the team up with Therm O Web! For the next two weeks we will be featuring projects made with Elle’s Studio products and Therm O Web adhesives – make sure you visit their blog, too, for tons of amazing inspiration!

What a fun week to document! March Madness is HUGE in the midwest! Also there was a trip to Ikea, St. Patrick’s Day, and the beginning of Spring.

I used a mix of items from Everyday Moments, March 2014 Kit, and even Saltwater. I love the versatility of all the collections.

I journaled directly on the February wood veneers and used the Dark Grey Letter & Number Stickers to highlight words in my journaling.

My husband had a March Madness event at his office so I had to use the badge along with the “Pure Luck” circle tag found in the March 2013 kit as I journaled about my son putting together his first ever NCAA bracket!

For my Project Life spread I mainly used the Therm O Web mini runners for my adhesive – I love the size of these runners and that there is no waiting for the glue to dry – you just stick and go!
