Team Up with Therm O Web – Forever Friends

For the last two weeks we have been featuring projects using our collections with Therm O Web adhesives and today will be our last project that is part of this team up. You can also visit their blog, too, for even more inspiration! This has been such a fun two weeks and we were so happy for this opportunity to team up with Therm O Web and can’t thank them enough!

Today’s project is by Yuki Shimada:
Yuki says: I used iCraft Adhesive from Therm O Web on my project for the first time. It’s a strong, permanent adhesive with an easy-tear liner. The double-sided adhesive sheet is a perfect for the projects using punches, die-cut and electronic die-cut machines! I believe we can use it for any materials. I tried to use it on the fabric items (3 felt hearts) this time. It’s my new favorite adhesive. I also used 3D Form Squares 1/4in x 1/4in, and Sticky Tape Runner on my card. Here are the Elle’s studio’s supplies lists of what I used on this card: Love You More paper collection pack, Love You More Journaling Tags, Hugs and Kisses Wood Veneers, January kit, Letter and number Stickers.”

Contributing Team Highlight | Limited Edition Elle’s Studio April 2014 Kit

Today we wanted to highlight the amazing inspiration that our Contributing Team made with our April exclusives! We always love to see what they put together – let’s take a look:
Kay Rogers put together this layout and we love how she combined multiple Elle’s Studio collections with our April kit to create this beautiful layout!
Angie used the 1, 2, 3, tags from our April kit just as we had imagined! Such a cute moment in time she was able to capture in this layout.
Daniela used a bunch of the die cuts and even the cut apart labels in her layout, above. So fun and colorful!

Meghann did a great job here and we love how she highlighted those speech bubbles and even stamped in them with our April exclusive stamp.

Jennifer made this layout and we love how she used the “Details from this week” tag to fill in the details of her week, and then included a photo and marked what day of the week it was with our wood veneers! Very fun!

Melissa worked some magic with our cut files again this month! Such a clever background she made that pops that black and white photo – very cool!

Juliana says: “For my Happy Birthday scrapbook page, I used a combination of papers, die cuts and wood veneer from the Love You More collection, along with pieces from the exclusive Elle’s Studio April kit. I loved using the Therm-O-Web Sticky Tab Runner to adhere the papers and my photo. My favorite product from Therm-O-Web however, has to be their Sticky Dots. They are absolutely perfect for adhering Elle’s Studio wood veneers!”

Team Up with Therm O Web – Hello

Today’s layout is by Lilin Fang:

Lilin says: “The first thing that caught my eye is glitter dust! I love the idea of being able to add glitter to my projects. For this layout, I hand cut some circles from the Love You More collection. I also found some circle tags from the same collection and April kit. Next, I sprayed some glitter dust on them. It look the circles about 5 minutes to dry and I have these tags with a beautiful glitter finish.”
“To adhere the tags to the white cardstock, I used a mix of Sticky Dot Runner and Zots Single 3D adhesive dots to create a dimensional effect. I love that the Sticky Dot Runner is smooth and adheres very well but forgiving at the same time. This is important for me as I often change my mind and love to be able to move the bits and pieces around without damage. The 3D adhesive dots are fun to use too! Love that they are easy to apply and that it’s clear.”

“Next, I used the 3D white foam squares to adhere the frame and my photo. These foam squares come in 2 sizes. They are sticky and adhere well too. For my title, I used Letter’s and Numbers stickers and the hello wood veneer from April wood veneers. To add more interest and complete the page, I added some ink splatters, sequins. heart puffy sticker, butterfly die cuts and my journaling.”

HELLO FRIEND! CARD

Hi there! Today is the 9th which means a new kit will debut tomorrow (yipee!) but before we move on I wanted to share one more card using the March kit 🙂

For this card I went a bit out of my comfort zone and used a kraft base. While I’m a huge fan of white backgrounds I think the kraft made the colors in this kit pop a little more.

PROJECT LIFE

Today’s Project Life covers the week of March 24 to 30th — it was the beginning of our Spring Break adventure (and yes, that’s Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty!)

Our spring break began at the end of this week that was documented. However, SO much of our “regular week” was spent preparing for our drive to Texas, that I decided to mainly focus on what happened Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of this week. I am okay with not feeling like each and every day is documented.

We left on Friday and spent two days driving to Texas— along the way we caught up with friends in various states, and even ran into the Duck Dynasty crew in Lousiana– truly something awesome to remember.

We returned home this past weekend. I was really overwhelmed with the thought of documenting this trip just from the amount of photos and memories I wanted to share. I plan to create a mini album about our trip, so I had to keep reminding myself that this is just an overview of a few days.

I used Elle’s Studio’s March 2014 kit which really allowed me to put together this spread rather quick. The “Road Trip” journaling card was perfect for this week!

We want to feature your Project Life album! During the last week of each month we will be featuring a couple Project Life spreads that caught our eye in the Member Gallery. Patricia says: “The Therm O Web Pink Glitter Photo Corners inspired the colors and theme for my layout. It was a perfect color to go with this photo of my daughter and her best friend. Using a neutral background, I was able to add my journaling and more pops of color to tie in to those photo corners and their clothes in the photo. I loved using the iCraft Adhesive on my cut title. After it was cut, I just had to peel and adhere it, no sticky residue. Another favorite and to tie in with the glitter, was the Glitter Dust Iridescent spray I sprayed on the painted wood veneer pieces.

Thanks for the beautiful inspiration, Patricia! We love what you did here and how you incorporated pieces from our Everyday Moments collection, too!
