We have shared so many beautiful projects here on our blog to inspire you, our fantastic ES fans, but we’ve also been inspired, too! Today, design team member Laura Wonsik is showing us how she’s taken inspiration from Melissa Mann this month! Let’s take a look:
Hello! It’s Laura and I’m so happy to be here again sharing a new layout. I don’t know about you, but I am always so inspired by the amazing work of the design team. In fact, today’s layout was inspired by this layout from Melissa Mann:
I love the visual burst coming out of the center—it’s such a great way to showcase a favorite photo. I re-created the same design using the latest ES products:

I wanted to replicate the rectangle strips of pattern and thought that a combination of patterned paper and the striped strip stamp from the Hello Stamp would work well together. The striped strip wasn’t quite long enough, so I overlapped a couple of strips and really like how it turned out.
Drawing color inspiration from my photo, I decided to do a three-tone burst and add Twinkle Puffy Stickers and the Play All Day Phrase Stickers to add texture, the same way that Melissa used stitching to add texture.
I love the gray numbers from the Noteworthy Bits and Pieces, so I used those to prompt my letter-style journaling. I stamped the beginning of the letters with the Hazel Alphabet Stamp, then used my own handwriting to add a personal touch to the page.
