Everyday moments are something we love here at Elle’s Studio, and we often design our product around giving you the ability to document them. Today, our talented design team member, Jess Forster, is sharing how she recorded a moment shared with her son in one of their favorite places, on an ordinary day using the May 2018 Kit and extras, along with the Noteworthy collection. Let’s take a look:
For the past two years, I have been scrapbooking everyday moments for each of my kiddos in their own 6″ x 8″ album. I am a fan of small non-event based moments, especially those that happen as part of regular routine. When I saw the 3″ x 4″ white journaling tag that says, “life is made of special moments like this” included in the new Noteworthy Double-Sided Journaling Tags, I knew I had to use it. Specifically, I wanted to document my son’s love of the beach and throwing rocks into the lake.

In my 6″ x 8″ pocket, I used the photo of my son throwing a stone into the water, to inform the design for the entire page. I loved the calm cool colour palette, and selected the mint and white Double-Sided Journaling Tags, as well as they epoxy and puffy stickers from the Noteworthy collection to pair with it.
With the everyday moments still fresh in my mind, I recorded five details from our beach outing. Small details, like specific things my son said, easily fit on the stylish 4″ x 6″ teal journaling tag included in the Noteworthy Double-Sided Journaling Tags. I used the cues from the journaling tag to specifically make a point of journaling about our conversation and connection.
To add visual interest to the page, I strategically placed three Noteworthy Wood Veneer pieces to direct the eye around the page. I love the sentiments, which include, “the story” and “a day to remember,” which are great sayings for any everyday moment.
Overall, this page makes me want to pick up my camera more often to document daily life often. I hope this this pocket page inspires you to capture smaller everyday moments!
