Hi, everyone and happy Friday! It’s Diane with you to share a fun pocket-page layout I created with the gorgeous July monthly kit and add-ons!
Supplies | July 2022 Kit, Black Jane Alphabet Cardstock Stickers, Cerulean Blue Jane Alphabet Cardstock Stickers, Black Puffy Alphabet Stickers, Everyday Label Puffy Stickers, Puffy Star Stickers, Gold Star Paper Clips, Medium Hazel Stamp
I really wanted to stretch my kit as far as I could and create one more pocket page layout. As I pulled out the remaining pieces of my kit, I realized I had mostly all of the greens and blues left, so, I had my color scheme! I knew instantly that these tags would go perfectly with my photos from a recent weekend trip to a ranch in the hill country of west Texas. I have documented some of this story in a smaller album, but I really like to give an overview of vacations/weekend trips in my main family album.
I wanted all of my photos to be the 3 x 4-inch vertical size, so I needed 10 filler tags. I had 8 tags left in the July Kit, so I needed to stretch my kit to have two additional tags. I cut the boxes out of the tag that had a spot for two stories. This enabled me to make two tags. I paired a small 2 x 2-inch photo with each of those cards and added some label stickers.
I also took several of the die cut pieces and layered them on a plain 3 x 4-inch white piece of cardstock to create another tag to hold a photo.
In the bottom right corner of my layout, I covered the sentiment on the tag so that it would go with this particular layout. I used the journaling spot to put the name of one of the restaurants we ate at. I liked that I was able to use the tag and bring in some of the navy blue color to my spread.
I sprinkled some of the bright, fun Puffy Star Stickers throughout the layout to bring it all together.
I love that I was able to use pretty much the entire kit this month and get several stories documented! I hope you found some inspiration on how you can stretch your kits, too! Happy crafting!
