Goodbye 2021, Hello 2022 with Aimee Mertell

Hello, Elle’s Studio friends! It’s Aimee here with you today and I thought I would share the title page I created for my 2022 project life album as well as how I wrapped up 2021 with the December 2021 kit and add-ons

Supplies | December 2021 Kit, 2022 Calendar Tags, 2022 Jumbo Acrylic, Wonder Paper Stack, Monthly Highlights Paper Stack

Let’s first talk about how I wrapped up my 2021 album. The December Kit was full of lovely tags for documenting New Year celebrations and so I let them inspire my last set of pockets. I chose the 3 x 4 inch ‘Happy New Year’ tag and I loved the invitation to document my end of the year favorites with the 4 x 6 tag that came in the monthly kit.

I opted to print my photos in black and white to pack a real punch at the end of my album. I love the simplicity of the tags paired with the photos of me and my family on New Years.

Similarly, I chose the high contrast look of black and white family photos to kick things off in the new year as well! I trimmed down papers from the Wonder Paper Stack so to fit in my pockets and create a bold row of color. This really helps to draw the eye to my focal piece in the center of the pockets—the Jumbo 2022 Acrylic!

I then added die-cuts from the December Kit that indicate it’s going to be a good year. I absolutely love this bold start to my 2022 album and love even more that Elle’s Studio has products dedicated to helping you document your 2022. Some personal favorites of mine besides the acrylic pieces are the Monthly Highlights Paper Stack and the 3×4 inch 2022 Calendar Tags.

I often fill out the Monthly Highlights and add them as an insert to my pocket page album and the 2022 Calendar Tags would make an easy and excellent addition to many monthly formats! I hope this post has inspired you to get your own albums set up for the new year and that you have a happy and productive 2022!
