Hello, friends! This is Melissa with you today on the blog and I’m excited to share a new project that features the fabulous new cardstock label stickers!
Supplies | July 2021 Kit, July 2021 Print and Cut Labels, Navy Cardstock Label Stickers, Yellow Cardstock Label Stickers, Light Teal Cardstock Label Stickers, Adventure Chipboard Stickers, Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers – Cool Tones, Acrylic Trees, Adventure Paper Stack, Summertime Tabs Stamp, Text Message Stamp, From Sketch to Finish Vol. 6 Stamp
I really love these cardstock stickers that have made an appearance this year in several colors: Navy, Yellow, and Light Teal. I wanted to create little “nesting” places that could accommodate several label stickers. I took a piece of white cardstock and used my Silhouette Cameo to cut a large circle in the center. I knew I would layer this against the kraft cardstock and lightly penciled in the circle outline on the kraft background.
I cut out 2″ x 2″ squares of paper from the Adventure Paper Stack and lined them up across the length of the circle. I loved the “quilty” look to it. After I placed the squares down, I stitched around the circle with my sewing machine. Then came the fun part! I started using various stamps to add images and text phrases on the cardstock label stickers. I placed these in the patterned paper squares inside the circle.
Once I had the label stickers in place, I layered my photo on top of a couple of journaling tags from the July 2021 Kit and pieces of vellum. My title went in the upper left hand part of the circle. I filled in some of the cardstock labels with the Adventure Chipboard Stickers and Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers and typed my journaling in one of the labels from the July 2021 Print and Cut Labels. Lastly, I punched circles from the Adventure Paper Stack in various sizes and layered them with foam dots around the big cut out circle. I added a few more label stickers and glued on some of the yellow acrylic stars from the Acrylic Trees.
