Cards From the Heart with Nathalie Leonelli

Hello Elle’s Studio friends! It’s Nathalie here, and if you are a tag lover like I am, I hope that you grabbed the Cardstock Die Cut Tags and the Nesting Tags Metal Die in addition to your kit this month! If you haven’t, they are still available in the shop. I used both to create the set of greeting cards I am sharing today.

For this first card, I created a vertical design with two tags in the opposite direction. One of them was cut using the Nesting Tags Metal Die from white textured cardstock to let the Acrylic Trees stand out. The other is from the pack of Cardstock Die Cut Tags

I loved the sentiment banner from the July 2021 Kit, and it was a perfect match with the night sky paper from the Adventure Paper Stack.

A few puffy stickers from the Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers and a bow added extra texture and finished this card.

My second card is pretty different, although its design is also centered around a tag from the Cardstock Die Cut Tags. This time I played with the new Text Message Stamp and matching Text Message Metal Die to create a belated birthday card.

The trick here was to stamp the text bubbles and emojis (lightly colored with pencils) from the Text Message Stamp first, then feed the paper into my typewriter to type the text before die-cutting them using the Text Message Metal Die. It was easy to create layers with the variety of patterns found in the Adventure Paper Stack and the Layered Card Metal Die.

This Text Message Stamp is so much fun! I needed a birthday card, but really, the possibilities for cards or for your pocket pages are endless!

If you feel inspired, below are sketches I created for those two cards.

Whether you use these sketches or not, have fun with your tags! And don’t forget to share your creations with us in the Elle’s Studio Facebook Group or on Instagram using the hashtag #ellesstudio!
