Halloween Week Day Three: A Terrifyingly Terrific Traveler’s Notebook with Stacie Watson

Hey, hey scrappy friends! It’s Stacie with you today to share some more Halloween inspiration during Halloween Week here on the Elle’s Studio blog! Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year and we are halfway through spooky season right now! Whether or not you’re all about the creepy and kooky or the cute, the October kit and add-ons have you covered.

Supplies | Neutral Die Cut Labels, Happy Halloween Stickers, Halloween Puffy Stickers, Autumn Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers, Acetate Stars, Autumn Days 6 x 8.5 Inch Paper Stack, Jewel Polka Dot 6 x 8.5 Inch Paper Stack, Documented Stamp, Winifred Alphabet Stamp

Traveler’s notebooks are a great way to tell short stories in a simple and quick manner. That’s exactly how this spread came together—quick and simple. I started out by creating mini tags from the Autumn Days and Jewel Polka Dot Paper Stack in colors that scream Halloween. I knew I wanted to use stickers from the Halloween Puffy Stickers and Happy Halloween Stickers to embellish the tags. Stickers are one of the easiest ways to add fun to your spreads!

Oh, the Winifred Alphabet Stamp! Need I say more? I love this alphabet stamp (and the name!) so of course I had to use it on my spread. I stamped out “Boo!” and “EEK!” onto white cardstock with black ink and fussy cut around them. I love how they seem to just pop of the page. To finish off the mini tags, I decided to add some of the Acetate Stars to the tops instead of bakers twine.

On the right side of the spread, I used the “Happy Halloween” from the Halloween Puffy Stickers and put those on first, then I printed out my photos to the size that would fit in the middle between the words. I added a label from the Neutral Die Cut Labels behind one of the photos, then did some stamping using the Documented Stamp. To finish off the spread, I added some stars and dots from the Autumn Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers and then called it done.

This spread came together super quickly and I love the mini tags with the embellishments! I hope this inspires you to create some spooky and kooky or cute Halloween spreads of your own with your October kit and add-ons. Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today!
