Documenting Food Fun With Digitals and Candace Perkins

Hello Elle’s Studio friends! It’s Candace here with you to share a fun project using the September Cut Files. I love using digital cut files and printables to expand on my Elle’s Studio goodies and create even more projects. There are so many fun ways to customize the products to fit just what you need. Take a look at how I customized the September Cut Files to match a project about my little guy cooking a family meal.

Supplies |September 2020 KitSeptember Cut Files, Stitched Heart Wood Veneers, Autumn Days 6 x 8.5 Inch Paper Stack, Cozy Chipboard

To start the layout I imported the silverware cut file into Silhouette Studio to be cut on the base of my layout. I reduced the size of the cut file and positioned it to be on the lower right hand corner of the layout. After cutting out the file from white cardstock, I backed the open space with frosted vellum and created an embellishment cluster at the base. To finish off this side of the layout I typed my journaling on a journaling tag and backed a cute photo of my guy with woodgrain patterned paper.

On the right side of the layout, I took the cut pieces from the left side of the layout and created another embellishment cluster with a Stitched Heart Wood Veneer and Cozy Chipboard sentiment.  To add a bit of color to the right side of the layout, I backed one of the photos with red patterned paper.  I love the mix of color and black and white photos to add contrast and interest to the layout.

This was such a fun layout to put together and I love the interest and design that the cut files add to go with the theme of the layout. I love that I was able to customize the size to fit a 6″ x 8″ spread and use both parts of the cut file.  What will you do with the fun September Cut Files? How will you customize them to fit your spreads? We would love to see! Share your project on Instagram using the hashtag #EllesStudio or in our Facebook Group!

Have a beautiful day!
