“Inspired By” with Daniela

Hi there, it’s Daniela and I’m so excited to share a new layout with you today! It’s my turn to create a layout inspired by another design team member project, and I chose this beautiful page, created by Amanda-jayne Baldwin:

I’m stunned by Amanda’s creations each and every month! I simply love her style and there are always so many beautiful details to discover. What I liked about this page is the way she arranged her elements with a large paper strip on the left side and a big display for the picture in the upper center of the page. I also like the way she created her title, so I did a really close scrap lift. Here is my layout:

Supplies | September 2019 Kit, September Labels, Shine Die Cuts, Heart and Star Acetate Die Cuts, Magical Memories Acetate Die Cuts, Puffy Autumn Heart Stickers, Happy Moments Puffy Stickers, Home Wood Veneers, Life Right Now Acrylic, Good Times StampHome Sweet Home 6 x 6 Paper Stack,         Noteworthy 12 x 12 Paper Collection

Since I wanted to highlight a picture of my son, I went for greens and dark blue to create a rather masculine page. I’m also a huge fan of white on white so I placed the Life Right Now Acrylic on the white cardstock. A wood veneer label from the Home Wood Veneers and some green embellishments build a kind of frame around the big white title and add further details.

I love combining different textures, and paper, puffy stickers, die-cuts and acetates built little clusters on my page! I really love the effect you can create by using acetates. You can look through them and get so many different color ranges by combining them with other items. Color splashes on white cardstock are also a good choice if you want to add subtle color and texture on your page.

Sometimes, there are so many papers I’d love to use. So why not use all of them? If that’s the case, I tend to layer all the papers. In the end, you can only see little stripes of each paper, but this way you can see all the beauty that a combination of patterns and colors can bring. The great thing about ES paper stacks is that the included papers always match perfectly, and you can combine them in so many ways, like I did here with the Home Sweet Home 6 x 6 Paper Stack.
