Next time you need a last-minute card, don’t head to the nearest drug store—go to your scrap room instead! Today Kristina Proffitt is sharing two sweet and simple cards that you can create in minutes, using our June Kit and extras. Let’s take a look and get some inspiration!
Hi friends! It’s Kristina here and I’m super happy to be sharing just a couple of simple, quick and easy cards that I created using the June Kit and extras this month! One of the things that I love about Elle’s Studio products is how versatile they are. You can seriously use them for ALL OF THE THINGS—that includes all of the different scrap pieces that you might have as well! So I decided to take some white cardstock and some scrap pieces of patterned paper from the Beautiful Day 6 x 6 Paper Stack and Magical Memories 6 x 6 Paper Stack to create two cards that I can give to people to bring a smile to their face. I create cards just like I create my pocket pages and layouts–very simply—but simple can still be beautiful and meaningful, so don’t be intimidated when it comes to creating greeting cards.

The June Kit and extras are perfect for whipping up some cards! An easy thing to do when you’re making a card is to use a 3″ x 4″ tag on the front. That’s exactly what I did on this card using the blue lined tag from the June 2019 Kit and I love the look! I then took some paper from the Magical Memories 6 x 6 Paper Stack and cut out a scalloped strip to place next to the card.
The Best Friends Acrylic was the perfect embellishment to put on the front of this card. I love the dimension it gives the card and adding my own handwriting added a bit of a personal touch, too! Add some Summer Puffy Stickers and some threaded buttons and you have a super cute and easy card, friends!
I always love using scraps of patterned paper I save for cards. These strips from the Beautiful Day 6 x 6 Paper Stack were calling my name, so I used them on the front of this card.
The circular “hello” stickers from the Summer Puffy Stickers are perfect for a greeting card and of course I had to use some more puffy heart stickers to complete the card. One thing I love doing is using the die cuts in the kit as a template to create other die cuts with patterned paper. You can see that I took a die cut from the June Kit and created a little banner flag using the yellow striped paper. Not only is it fun to use the die cuts as a template, it also helps when you need a specific color or want to coordinate something and maybe you don’t have a die cut that will work. Make your own!
So there ya go, friends. Be sure to save those awesome scraps to use on some handmade greetings cards of your own. It’ll brighten someone’s day and you’ll have lots of fun in the process!
