Lovely Leftovers with Mary-Ann Maldonado

Sometimes less is more, and using the last little bits and pieces in your Elle’s Studio paper stacks can push you creatively to make something truly amazing! That’s exactly what Mary-Ann Maldonado is showing us here today, with a new layout created with the Beautiful Day 6 x 6 Paper Stack and embellished with our June Kit and extras! Let’s take a look!

Today, I am documenting a family fun layout with my dad and his two grandsons, using the leftover papers from the Beautiful Day 6 x 6 Paper Stack. Remember the layout that I created last month using triangles as a background base?  Those leftover papers are what I used to create this rainbow effect!

Supplies | June 2019 Kit, June Labels, Here’s the Story Journaling Tags, Summer Phrase Stickers, Summer Puffy Stickers, Family Acrylic, Beautiful Day 6 x 6 Paper Stack

I used the woodgrain paper to anchor all of the random cut edges to the left side of the layout.  I also used an entire sheet of the June Labels behind my photo. I wanted the colors from the photo to pop, and this colorful sheet helped!

The June Kit and Summer Puffy Stickers had all of the little embellishments that I needed to create a monochromatic effect on each color block.  I love the rainbow trend that is happening right now. Do you?

I used the Family Acrylic piece as my title to my page. Adding the Summer Phrase Stickers helped me tell the story of family barbecue fun!

Even if you cut out random shapes from your patterned papers in the Beautiful Day 6 x 6 Paper Stack, you can still use what is leftover create something spectacular! Give it a try today!
