Documenting Multiple Perspectives with Jess Forster

When it comes to scrapbooking, I am pretty good at documenting my kids. Whether it’s capturing their milestones or fun conversations that they have, I have no shortage of pages on my little people. However, one scrapbooking goal that I had for 2019 is to document more of myself in my layouts.  After seeing Elle’s 3″ x 4″ Currently Journaling Tags, I knew that I wanted to include both my perspective as well as interview my kids for their thoughts and feelings for this red, pink, black and white page. Have a look!

For this 9″ x 12″ double pocket page layout, I told the story of our favourite Valentine’s Day tradition while also documenting what is currently happening in our lives right now.  Myself and each of my kiddos answered the gerund style prompts on the 3″ x 4″ Currently Journaling Tags. So versatile, I love that these cards can serve as a way to interview many people.

From a design perspective, I used a 9″ x 12″ page protector which includes nine, 3″ x 4″ spaces. On each horizontal line I included a photo of myself—thanks to my 7 year old, who snapped a quick photo of me—or the kids. In addition to photos, I selected the red cards from February Kit, as well as the 3″ x 4″ Currently Journaling Tags.

Here you can see that I have highlighted our tradition of buying brownie mix in a box and baking it in our heart shape pan.  I love that the Currently Journaling Tags can seamlessly mix into this Valentine’s Day story. No doubt that you can use these tags to document your own everyday story alongside an event.

Thanks for looking!
