Being with friends and family around the table, whether at a favorite restaurant, or in your own home, can be so wonderful, and many memories are made over a meal! Today, our design team member Nathalie Leonelli is sharing her latest traveler’s notebook entry about a favorite meal that her family shared in her home country, and she used the February Kit and extras to make her spread look almost as good as the food! Let’s take a look at what she created!
Lately, I am really enjoying using the Elle’s Studio kits and stamps in my ongoing summer 2017 traveler’s notebook, so I am back this month with a new spread:
Supplies: February 2019 Kit, Bright Die Cut Labels, Black Puffy Alphabet Stickers, Large Jane Alphabet Stamp – Polka Dot, Oh Happy Day Stamp, All My Heart 6 x 6 Paper Stack
We had the best salad at a small restaurant in the southwest of France and the February Kit plus some extras were just what I needed to record this memory! I pulled a combination of grey, green and red out of the tags and die-cuts from the kit and paired them with perfectly matching patterned papers from the All My Heart 6 x 6 Paper Stack. I built my title with Black Puffy Alphabet Stickers and the brand new polka dot Large Jane Alphabet Stamp. Since they are big, they are easy to fussy cut, or die-cut with the new Large Jane Alphabet Metal Dies and I love them black on white! Don’t miss the striped version of these alphabet stamps, too!
On the right page, I pulled my brand new Oh Happy Day Stamp and stamped journaling lines on the edge. You can repeat the pattern as much as you need and even split it. I stamped only one line at the bottom for the date.
Since the “thumbs up” stamp is the replica of the “thumbs up” on the journaling tag from the February Kit, I added a ghost image (stamping it a couple of times on scrap paper first to lighten the image.)
I hope to have inspired you to use your February Kit and extras in your traveler’s notebooks and while you’re at it, don’t forget all of your awesome new stamp sets! They offer so many fun possibilities for embellishments, title building, journaling and more!
