Documenting Home with Andrea Gray

Autumn is generally a time to become more home-bound; curl up in front of a fire and invite friends and family over for celebrations! Our new October 2018 Kit and add-ons are perfect for documenting all of your favorite parts about home, and the memories you share there, and today Andrea Gray is showing us a new pocket page spread that documents her home in a beautiful way! Let’s see what she created:

Hey friends! Your October 2018 Kit and add-ons should be on their way to you and I’m so excited for you to get them in your hands! The new products are perfect for your fall documenting! Today I am sharing a pocket layout to document some new decor around my family room!

My favorite journaling tags are the ones that say exactly what I need to say! This “favorite season” one does exactly that!

There are so many fun Autumn Shipping Tags and I had to really pick and choose because I wanted to find a way to use them all! I decided on two with coordinating colors and layered them on a tilt. Then I stamped the heart label box from the Thankful Stamp and added some Jane Alphabet Stickers before layering that on top of the tags. Adding an element of a black outline on the tags is an easy way to bring contrast and interest to basic supplies.

This big HOME wood veneer from the Title Builder Vol. 2 Wood Veneer set makes a BIG statement. I clustered the lovely leaves stamp from the Thankful Stamp, a label from the October Kit and a Puffy Dot to make it pop off the yellow patterned paper from the Noteworthy 6″ x 6″ Paper Stack

I actually hadn’t planned the hanging leaf stamp until the other elements were already assembled so it was a bit tricky to get the stamped image in the right place, but it worked out well and I just can’t get enough of this tag!

Not only am I documenting balance in my days, but achieving the balance of color within my layouts is always a goal. In this corner, I used a teal tag cut from the Sweater Weather 6″ x 6″ Paper Stack that matches the teal elements that are scattered throughout the page.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope I gave you some fun ideas for how to use the October 2018 Kit and extras! See ya next time!
