Mixing and Matching Moments with Jess Forster

What do you do when you only have a few puffy stickers left on your sheet? Get creative with them, and try to pair them with a coordinating monthly kit! That’s what Jess Forster is doing today, and we think you’ll love what she created. Let’s take a look:

Hooray for using your scraps! If you are like me, you probably have a lot of left over embellishments from various kits after you create a layout. Today, I am here to show you how I created this fun summer 6″ x 8″ double pocket page spread by combining leftover puffy stickers from the Noteworthy Collection and journaling tags from the July 2018 Kit. Have a look!

When mixing and matching various product lines, I look for versatility in my embellishments. As you can see, most of the stickers on my Noteworthy sheet were gone. Instead of tossing these great embellishments out, I decided to use the 4″ x 6″ fireworks tag from the July Kit to create a unique journaling tag with bullet points. Numbers, whether they are a part of an alpha or a puffy sticker set, are a great way to use your stash and document story facts in point form.

In addition to writing a paragraph about my son’s favourite part of his splash pad adventure on the 3″ x 4″ journaling tag, I placed the Noteworthy puffy number stickers on the 4″ x 6″ journaling tag, which included three random story facts about the day. Sometimes, it is hard to include this type of information in your journaling. List format works well to include extra details that may otherwise be forgotten.

Besides using the numbers from the Noteworthy Puffy Stickers, I also used the stars and word stickers, like “documented” and “capture” to complete a visual triangle on my page. I love that Elle matches her colours so that the embellishments from various products could be placed strategically to balance the colour in my design.
