Documenting Pool Time Fun with Wendy Antenucci

Hello everyone, it’s Wendy here today to share how I’m documenting one of our favorite activities: pool time! The Pool Time Wood Veneer pieces that were introduced with the July Kit were perfect for our summer stories and that Jump Acrylic piece was the perfect title for an awesome layout!

My page began with the Jump Acrylic and the “awesome” 3″ x 4″ tag from the July Kit. I knew that these were the perfect pieces for the pictures I had taken of my boy killing our raft. I assembled my pictures in a stair-step fashion leading from the top to the bottom, just like the motion of the pictures. My title block nestled right into the arrangement which made a perfect home for it.

Once I had established the photo block I am so fond of creating, my next step was to add color and details which I accomplished through the fun 3″ x 4″ tags. Don’t you love those things? You can make a title with the tags, you can journal on your tags, you can add color and layers, and the list goes on!!!

To bring my layout up a notch, my next design decision was to add some water splashes. I chose a stencil that I had in my stash and some paint to match the “awesome” tag and dabbed on the splashes, finishing with a flick of spray in a darker teal color. The Vellum Asterisks were perfect additions to the splashy theme and I scattered a few more around the area.

I added three wood veneer pieces from the Wood Veneer Phrases and Pool Time Wood Veneer to form a visual triangle, drawing your eyes around the page and placing the pool floaty in the splash area. The “1-2-3 jump!” die-cut from the July Kit was perfect for adding to the bottom corner.

I just love the July Kit with all the special touches and I can’t wait to document more of our summer fun with the kit. Go make some memories so you can use your kit!
