With so many new, fun products in the shop for the month of October, it was hard to choose just one… so we didn’t! We love the way that the leaves on the So Cozy stamp pair with the Wood Veneer Leaves that we challenged three designers, Laura Hager, Jamie Leija and Alissa Fast to pair these two products up on their projects. Let’s see what they created!

Laura Hager | I was so excited about the autumn-themed products this month, but one of the downsides of living in Phoenix is missing out on the seasons changing. The leaves in the So Cozy Stamp and Wood Veneer Leaves are so cute and, luckily, so versatile! I might not get to experience the changing of the leaves, but it’s finally getting cool enough to plant my garden! My fiancé and I have been working hard to get the yard ready to enjoy in time for the cooler weather. I made this page to document that. I loved playing around with the leaf stamps.
To create a collage of leaves, I used two different colors of ink. To get even more variation, I stamped-off by inking up the stamp and then lightly stamping on a scrap piece of paper, then on to the tag. This ended up creating four different colors. I used the Stanley Alphabet Stamp to add text to the middle card, then I used a bunch of different labels to add captions to my photos. Lastly, I added some of the wood leaves to the page. I love how many different themes you can document with the leaf stamps and wood veneers. They are perfect for fall, spring or summer!

Jamie Leija | The awesome leaves on the So Cozy Stamp and Wood Veneer Leaves were perfect to pair alongside these photos from my day on the Great Wall of China.
That day, the leaves were just changing from green to orange and yellow. I backed my photos onto the green patterned paper from the Family Fun 12″ x 12″ Paper Collection to help them stand out. Then, I tucked the Wood Veneer Leaves underneath and fussy-cut stamped leaves from the So Cozy Stamp under the photo mat. Splashing gold mist and adding in puffy dots from the Halloween Puffy Stickers helped add texture and dimension to the embellishment clusters.

Alissa Fast | I love when Elle creates stamps and wood veneer to work together and these leaves are no exception. On the tag, I stamped the leaves from the So Cozy Stamp first, to create a cool layered effect under the Wood Veneer Leaves
When making tags, as cards, for my friends and family, I always like to coordinate a glassine bag to hold the tag and potential gift card. Here, I added the same washi tape to the bag as I did the tag before adhering the wood veneer leaf. A little stain or watercolors, washi tape and these stamps and veneer is all it took to create a super fun little gift that the recipient will love.
