One Product, Three Ways: Foodie Stamp

With so many new, fun products in the shop this month, it was difficult to choose only one product for September’s “One Product, Three Ways” post! After some thought, and maybe a rumble in our bellies, we chose the Foodie Stamp—the perfect product to document our gastronomical adventures! Today we have Jill Sprott, Laura Hager and Nancy Damiano showing us how they used their stamp! Let’s take a look at their projects.

Jill Sprott | My daughter is currently eating her way through Italy, and what better way to document her first few culinary adventures in Florence than with the Elle’s Studio Foodie stamp? I created a border using several of the stamps from the set, repeating the sentiments on each side of the page and working in red and green — the colors of Italy’s flag, as well as of fresh basil and juicy tomatoes — here and there.

I pulled together the photos at the center of the page and backed them with red and green patterns and labels. The entire layout is a celebration of the food culture of Florence and of my daughter’s foodie dreams come true.

Laura Hager | I love trying new food! I was so excited to see the new Foodie Stamp set. I couldn’t wait to use it. My mom and I had been talking about making a special spaghetti sauce with my grandma, so we planned a spaghetti party day! My grandma came over to supervise us making the sauce. While the sauce simmered, we played cards and chatted. It was so fun! And so yummy! I love having special family recipes and this is definitely one of those recipes. This stamp set was released at the perfect time to use it for my spaghetti party!

I’ve said it before, but stamping is my favorite technique for scrapbooking. I started my page by finding the perfect paper. I used a 3″ x 4″ tag from the September 2017 Kit and a grid patterned paper from the Family Fun 6″ x 6″ Paper Stack. Then, I added the Pink Puffy Alphabet Stickers. After that, I found my favorite sayings and images from the Foodie Stamp and stamped them onto white card stock. I used small, sharp scissors to carefully cut around the stamped images, then attached them with my tiny attacher. I love how this page captures a special memory and the stamps help document a tasty recipe. I can tell that this stamp set is going to be one of my new favorites!

I love that this stamp set is not only great for my pocket pages, but also for making cards. I have a best friend who is a wonderful cook and I wanted to send a handmade thank you for hosting our family recently. Foodie Stamp to the rescue!

One of my favorite design go-to’s is the all-over stamp technique. I love the eclectic looks of a repeated design. I pumped up the color by using all of the shades in the rainbow and scattering them about. Two circular puffy stickers from the Everyday Labels Puffy Stickers in pink and aqua placed right in the center of the stamped images gives the card some dimension. As do the enamel dots circling the words. The final touch is simple, a bold black puffy sticker from the black Everyday Labels Puffy Stickers and that completes the card.
