Stamping Love with Jennie McGarvey

Stamps are a great product to have in your stash. Once you purchase them, they can be used over and over again in different colors to add to your projects. Sometimes they can be used as embellishment, or as a title, as our January guest designer, Jennie McGarvey, did here with the All My Heart Stamp. You can also think out of the box and make them a design element, like Jennie did here with the Dated Stamp on this gorgeous page.

I absolutely love stamping- especially in my scrapbooking projects!  Elle’s Studio stamps are always some of my favorites not only because they always seem to go with whatever project I’m working on, but they are always the cutest!

This month was not an exception.  The “Love You” sentiment from the All My Heart Stamp was pretty much one of my favorites ever.  The size and script are perfect.  Incorporating that into my page wasn’t hard at all, I mean — it had to be my title!  The Dated Stamp?  It’s pretty darn genius, and it’s going to be a staple in my stash for years to come, that is for sure.

Speaking of the Dated Stamp– this was the focus for this layout.  I knew I wanted to use it in a slightly different way than it was intended.  So, I stamped the boxes semi-randomly on the page using VersaFine ink and then cut different bits and pieces of matching patterned papers from the ‘Tis the Season 12″ x 12″ Paper Collection to fill it in.  Desired effect achieved!
