Scrapbooking with our digitals by Lisa Dickinson

EllesStudio-Lisa-Digitals01Lisa has created this awesome layout using our paper products and our digital files – here’s what Lisa has to say about it : Chances are you have photos you snapped last week of Valentine’s Day celebrations! Whether it was your kid’s handmade cards, festive class parties, a special gift you received, or a romantic night out, this month’s digital offerings are perfect for helping you get those photos scrapped!

I opted to used both the hearts and flags from the February Digital Cut Files on my layout about my daughter’s Valentine exchange.  The hearts were cut from white card stock, and the flags were cut from pink card stock that I backed with white to make the phrases stand out a bit more. Because my photos featured the primary colors of red, blue, and yellow, I chose papers from Sycamore Lane and Good Cheer to coordinate. Just because it’s a Valentine-themed page doesn’t mean you have to stick to red and pink!

EllesStudio-Lisa-Digitals02I also used the heart frame die cut to highlight one of the photos. Cut from pale blue card stock and adorned with a few epoxy dots, it draws focus to the main photo and helps create a diagonal visual line through the page design.

We’d love to see what you create with this month’s digital selections, so print those photos and happy scrapping!
