Today’s Capture Life continues with my favorite thing to capture: the everyday moments.
At the beginning of the month, I challenged my facebook friends to join me in a daily photo challenge. It was simple; take one photo everyday of something from your everyday life and share it. I called it “Shoot and Share”. It has become not only a way for me to do a little daily shooting during this cold month but also allows me to write a little bit about the photo that I am sharing and what it means to me. A photo holds so many memories and details and while one person may simply look at it and see say “a barn”, I see the place where I planted my first rhubarb plants in hopes they will make it another year. Preserve that : Record it.
As fun as it has been to share these with everyone, it’s also been important to preserve these memories in my Project Life album.
Here is an insert from my album using the March Tag Kit, the March Cut Files, a few wood veneers as well as bits and pieces from the Everyday Moments and 2014 Collection :
When I typically use my Silhouette to cute out files I tend to just use plain white cardstock and cut in bulk. This allowing me to use mist to color them as I need them. But today I switched it up and cut from the b side of the Today’s Story sheet. I love how they all turned out in the teal and still used a bit of green mist on the clover cut out to add a bit of variation.
When using the “I am so lucky” cut I kept the “lucky” word and sprayed that with again the green mist. Off setting it a bit added a simple layered look to help it pop.
While I know March is well on it’s way out; I encourage you to try a challenge like “Shoot and Share” during month of April. It’s so much fun to look back and see so many memories from one month.
Happy Creating ~Megan
