Hello everyone! If you’re anything like me, you spent part of your weekend working on Valentines. My kids have 4 different groups to bring Valentines to (that’s a lot of candy!) + some special cards ;). So I’m here today to show you a few super quick and easy Valentine ideas.
For the first card I made a fortune cookie with a sweet message 🙂
Supplies:
Instructions:
1. Start with a 4.25 x 5.5in card
2. Cut a 3×5.5in piece of Lovely Stripes paper
3. Punch a scallop stripe from the Lovely Stripes paper (B side) and sew to the left side
4. Make a fortune cookie from the Chalk Love paper
5. Attach a Lil’ snippet message to the cookie
6. Punch hearts from different patterned papers and attach to the card
The next card is lovely hot air ballon. This is a silhouette shape that I cut with different papers, then pieced together with some extra details:
Supplies:
Instructions:
1. Start with a 4.25 x 5.5in card
2. Cut the Hot Air Balloon shape twice. (Once on each side of the paper)
3. Stitch the strings with twine
4. Attach the paper pieces
5. Cut the bottom strip of the paper (xoxo) and attach to the card
6. Paint the wood veneer heart with blue ink and attach
And finally, I made a super easy treat bag with this awesome Journaling Tag and a mix of Sweet Tarts:
Supplies:
You and Me Large Journaling Tags, You and Me Tidbits, You and Me Pennants, Hello Sweetheart stamp set, Doily, Poly Bag, Candy
Instructions:
1. Start with a Large Journaling Tag
2. Fill a clear poly bag with candy and attach to the card
3. Fold a paper doily and attach to the top of the tag
4. Stamp ‘XOXO’ sentiment on the blue pennant
5. Trace the tidbit heart to vellum, cut out and sew to the tidbit
6. Layer the tags and attach to the top of the card
I hope these inspire you to do something special for a loved one. I’m sneaking a couple of the treat bags on my kid’s lunch boxes on Thursday! I’m sure they’ll love them 🙂
