Product Spotlight: Lil’ Snippets

Today’s product spotlight is shining on our Lil’ Snippets collection! Right now, we currently have 27 different designs, all ranging from holiday to everyday themes, and we have even more in development and coming out in January!

Besides looking great on your layouts, mini’s, cards and more, most of our Lil’ Snippets are designed so the top tag on the sheet will fit directly into your Project Life albums and page protectors!

The Lil’ Snippets come as a sheet of tags, all sheets contain at least 3 tags and some have even more! We are thrilled to bring you these tags at such an affordable price, and, at 75 cents a piece, you can’t go wrong!

When you get the sheet, grab your scissors and snip them apart:

For example, for the sheet above, the top tag will now fit directly into your Project Life page protectors, and then the bottom tags will work great either over your other photos in your album, or save them for future use on your other scrapbooking projects!

Above are just a few of our favorite tags, but there is a lot more to see, so check them all out here and stock up now for all your projects!

Also, if you’re new to our blog, make sure you stop by every Tuesday for Jenni’s Project Life series to see what she has done with her Project Life album and how she puts our tags to use!

Sketch Thursday – 11.09.11

Happy Thursday, everyone, is everyone having a great week so far? We hope so 🙂 This week’s sketch is based of of Leslie’s Tiny Punkin layout she made for our October Inspiration Gallery! I’m loving the fall feel of this layout and how see used one of the Autumn cards out of our Spooktacular Autumn Tiny Tags.

This sketch has room for one photo, journaling and lots of fun buttons – but you can choose to interpret it however you want! You can flip it, rotate it, whatever you feel like doing – it’s totally up to you!

Looking for an incentive to use our sketch this week? We can help with that! Post a link to your layout created using this Sketch Thursday sketch for your chance to win a $5 Elle’s Studio gift certificate. Link must be posted by 11:59p on Wednesday, November 16th, 2011.

Gift certificate can be used towards purchase of products only and can NOT be used for shipping charges. Gift certificate balance must be used in a single transaction.

Project Life Tuesday

Happy Tuesday! It’s another day of Project Life here at Elle’s Studio. How is your Project Life coming along? Or if you currently do not participate in Project Life, are we tempting you to give it a try in 2012? 🙂

Today’s Project Life documents the week of October 24-30. As I was documenting this week, I felt as if I wasn’t picking up the camera as much as I usually do, and in result, would not have many photos. Because of this, I was on the look out for bits and pieces of our everyday life that I could include in the album for this week.

It turns out I had plenty of photos, but I had alot of fun being creative with the items I included this week. Some of my found items were part of my prescription (which went along with the photo on the left page), a note from my daughter’s preschool teacher, the DVD cover to Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin”, and my sons first Report Card.

I didn’t have the right sized insert/transparency for the DVD cover and Report Card, so I ended up using a 12×12 page protector, and sewing it down the side (leaving top still open) and trimming. It’s definitely not perfect but I like that handmade touch it brings to the page.

I used many Elle’s Studio products this week. I noticed a theme as I was using my Elle’s Studio tags– I found myself trimming some of the tags down to fit the size I needed. For instance the top left photo with the pennant was originally part of the Summer Memories Large Circle Journaling Tag. The “October faves” insert was trimmed down from the Spooktacular Autumn Large Journaling Tags. Don’t be afraid to get your scissors out and make the products work for the space you are using!

Thanks for stopping by today! We have something extra fun cookin’ for next week’s Project Life Post– our first ever Elle’s Studio Project Life Guest Designer! Any guesses to who it might be??? You won’t want to miss it!! 🙂

Make It Sunday – 11.06.11

Hope everyone had a great week! Sunday is here and since Halloween is over, we thought we’d showcase a Christmas card this week – can you believe it’s already time to start making them? This card is really simple and uses some paper scraps and one of our tags from our Christmas Greetings Snippet. This snippet is a great deal because you get 6 greetings that you could use to make six different cards! And all for just 75 cents!

Here’s how I made this card:
1. I started with a piece of 8 x 6 inch cardstock, folded it in half so you end up with a card that measures 4 x 6 inches.

2. Then I took a piece of St. Nick from Crate Papers Peppermint 6 x 6 pad and covered the front. All the papers I used on this card came from the same paper pad 😉

3. For the top half I used two scrap pieces from the paper pad, the red piece measures 2.25 x 3.75, and the other piece measures 1.75  x 3.75 inches. You can really use any size of scrap paper you want here, but it looks best when the line where the papers come together is off centered.

4. I then added a border sticker from the Crate Peppermint stickers, and cut to fit.

5. To finish it off I used two chipboard accents from Crates Peppermint line and layered them with one of our pennants from our Lil’ Snippets: Christmas Greetings in between them.

We are giving away the Elle’s Studio product used in this week’s Make It Sunday! This week we are giving away the Lil’ Snippet: Christmas Greetings tag!

Just leave a comment to be entered! We will draw the winner and post it with next weeks “Make It Sunday’ post. *Comments must entered by 11:59 pm on 11.12.11 to qualify for entry. One entry per person, please.

Winter and Christmas Project Kit Information!

Hello! The day we have been excitedly waiting for is here and we can finally tell you that on Monday, November 14th, at 6:00 am PST our next two Project Kits will be up for presale! And, up for public sale at 7:30 am PST. (East Coast time would be 9:00 am presale and 10:30 am public sale). We are doing such a short presale time, this time around because we have a very small, limited amount of kits. The presale will be to our newsletter subscribers, only. So, make sure you are on the list! And, if you’ve signed up for our newsletter in the past but have not received one, please email me and I’ll forward you the newsletter – we are in the middle of switching to a new service because our current one does block some addresses.

We are so excited about these next two kits – but we have to warn you that these two kits are our most limited kit we have ever done, so be prepared and get ready to shop if you want one! They both include limited edition and exclusive Elle’s Studio tags and one even includes an Elle’s Studio exclusive stamp!

Our winter kit will work great for those winter layouts you want to make – even if you don’t get any snow! And, our Christmas kit has traditional colors and would work great for your holiday layouts! However, you could also use them for your December Daily album! The Christmas kit does come with special limited edition numbers 1-31 just in case you decide you need them!

Also, with these kits, we will have some extras in the shop like: stamp pads, cardstock papers, etc. And, we will be offering a discount for people who purchase both kits!

More sneaks coming next week!

P.S. In case you missed our other sneak peek, you can check it out here.

Product Spotlight: Advent Calendar

November is here and it’s already time to start thinking about advent calendars! I love this festive way to countdown the days until Christmas and we were very excited to bring back our advent calendar this year! We have it in both already printed and ready to go and then in digital format, where you can download it and print it out at home!

We’ve designed this advent calendar so each day doesn’t have to have an activity or gift, but can if you want it to! We know some parents like the activities and gifts to be a “surprise” and not something their children start to expect everyday. With that, it adds a fun surprise element and the kids never know what’s coming!

Here is a little peek at what it looks like once it’s put together:

It comes with full, step-by-step, photo instructions:

And, all the elements you need to make the 25 tags – just cut them out and start gluing!

The already printed kit includes: 8 pages of printed elements that are ready to be cut out to create the 25 tags, and 5 double-sided pages of instructions that also include a page of activities and gift ideas.

The digital PDF kit includes: All PDF files for you to print at home – the elements to create 25 tags, full instructions with photos and a list of ideas for activities and gift ideas to include in your advent calendar!

To display our calendar, we used a 7Gypsies Photo Display and some Gator Clips, but you could easily display this on a tree (or in your tree for an extra fun “hunt” each day) or string it from a banner! There’s lots of possibilities!

We are super excited about the holiday season – It’s going to be wonderful!
xoxo, Elle
