December #EllesStudio on Instagram

Yes, we know it’s the New Year, but we didn’t want to miss the chance of highlighting some of our favorite photos you posted using our hashtag in December!  We love it when you tag us when you’re posting photos of your projects, happy mail or our products that you just can’t live without!

Sketch Thursday

Today’s sketch is inspired by Stephanie’s Fa La La layout from last month’s DT gallery. 
We are off to a great start… check out this gorgeous layout by Juliana!
The stars on the sketch inspired me create my own die cut star background from the Noel patterned paper. I stuck rather closely to the sketch, so I also incorporated some of the Noel Tabs to frame my photo. Juliana

When I saw the stars in the sketch I knew that I wanted to use the stars from December Digital Cut File. After I cut them I used watercolor to add color. I followed the sketch pretty close, adding Large Tabs and Journaling Tags behind the photo. One of the journaling tags from the December kit had the green stars on them that matched the die cuts and my layout colors. Daniela

Challenge | Use Our 2014 Collection

It’s time for a new challenge!  On the first and third Wednesdays of each month, we’ll be issuing you a challenge and then asking you to create a project.  
Here’s how it works: We will give you a layout example and a short description of what to do/use for the particular challenge. Complete the challenge and upload it to our member gallery to be entered  and then post a link to the specific challenge post as a comment for your chance to WIN! The winner will receive a $10 Elle’s Studio Gift Certificate to use in our shop (winners will be announced during next Challenge post).

Happy New Years + Say Hello to our New Design Team

We want to wish everyone a Happy New Years! We are so thankful for your support throughout the year and we are so excited to spend another year with you – we feel so blessed for each one of you!

What better way to kick off the new year than by introducing our new design team for the first half of 2014?!

We are excited that we get to spend the next six months with: Becki Adams, Jenny Evans, Juliana Michaels, Lilin Fang, Patricia Roebuck, Valerie Bishop, WaiSam Ho, and Yuki Shimada! Their first gallery will launch in just 10 days, on January 10th, and we can hardly wait to see what they create! Please take a moment to visit their blogs and show them some love 🙂

Also, we want to thank our past design team for ALL the amazing work they did. It’s always so bittersweet when we switch out teams – these teams become like family and I treasure the relationships built with each new season.

Project Life: 2014 cover page

Happy New Years Eve!  As we say goodbye to 2013 and look forward to 2014, I wanted to share my 2014 cover page today.

I knew I wanted to try something different with my cover page this year.  I love the slide page protectors and played around with them a bit in my December Daily album.   I decided to use this format for my intro page.  I plan to place a Project Life Design A page behind it with (hopefully) an enlarged photo from New Years Eve, preferably in black and white.  We’ll see how it goes!

I decided to keep the theme neutral for this page.  I had so much fun pair papers from You & Me, Saltwater, Penelope, Cameron, and wood veneer and bits and pieces from the Noel Collection.

Most all the photos used are photos trimmed from our Christmas card this year– super easy!

The “winter is here” circle from the Noel Bits and Pieces is the perfect addition for the beginning of our Project Life 2014.  I love that I can continue using many of the Noel products beyond the Holidays and into the Winter months.

I hope you have a safe and wonderful New Years!  We are looking forward to a fabulous year here at Elle’s Studio!  Here’s to a fabulous 2014!

New product reveals!

Our third and final reveal is here and we can’t wait to show you what is coming to Elle’s Studio! Also, we cannot even put into words how thrilled we are to read all your comments about our Everyday Moments collection, and our Love You More collection! 
We are so happy to announce that we are expanding our 2014 collection with a set of wood veneers and an awesome stamp! Both of these will be perfect for your layouts, cards, mini albums, and Project Life! Also, these products work with our 2014 Calendar collection:

In the coming weeks we will show you how they coordinate and work together – very fun stuff!!

And, our biggest announcement with this reveal is we will now have coordinating alphabet and number stickers with our collections! These letter & number stickers will also work perfectly with our older collections, too!

They come on a 6 x 12 inch sheet and we’ll be stocking four different colors!

Our second reveal is here – we are excited to introduce our second collection called Everyday Moments, that will start shipping to stores around January 14th! Thank you so much for all your amazing comments on our first reveal! We loved reading what you guys thought of Love You More – so excited that you love it! Our second collection is perfect for documenting everyday moments and also has 9 different double-sided papers.
