I shared the first pages of these albums in this post. I decided to put these childhood albums together after the school year began in order to document the year, and so they had an album of their own. I view our weekly Project Life albums as a family album, while this is especially for them!
These albums are a great place to include art, school work, stories and photos that were not included in our weekly Project Life. I put the spread together without worrying too much about exact chronological order of events, however I did organize the spreads by month. The first two spreads are August and September. I used the dividers by Becky Higgins to separate the months.
For the artwork, I included some actual art pieces from school, but I also scanned and printed many papers and drawings as well. I view this album as where I will store and highlight all artwork I want to keep!

After positioning the four photos, I created a scattering of tags and filled in the remaining areas with my title and journaling using the new Letter Stickers as well as a variety of Stamps.
Congrats to this week’s Project Spotlight winner, Krissy! Check your email for your $10 Elle’s Studio gift certificate to use in our shop! Krissy’s Here Comes Trouble layout beautifully displays our Everyday Moments Collection! The black & white photo of her daughter looks awesome around all the pops of color! Head on over to her gallery to check it out and you can even add it to your favorites by logging into your account and clicking on the “I (heart) this!” button.
So excited to share projects from our super talented team of contributors today using our limited edition February 2014 kit. Have you purchased yours?
Contributing team member Jennifer Chapin used this month’s kit to create a layout for her Project Life album. We do all the work to make sure that kit contents coordinate, you get the fun part of putting your project together any way you’d like!
Congratulations!! Please email michelle@shopellesstudio.com the following info:
Last week I switched things up a bit in my pocket page design selection, which allowed me to once again experiment with a different page design since I was working with the back side of the page.
It was the Olympic opening ceremonies last week so I included a photo of the Olympic rings (with a minor error:) in the “Design H” page.
The right side of the page documented the rest of our week which consisted of (more) snow, Olympic excitement, and exciting gift of Duck Dynasty beards, and a Christian conference for Fraternity and Sorority students where my husband has served every year for the past 14 years!
We want to feature your Project Life album! During the last week of each month we will be featuring a couple Project Life spreads that caught our eye in the Member Gallery. We will be posting Project Life spreads on our blog tomorrow! If your spread is featured we will be sending you a $5 gift card to use in our store. Good Luck!
Below you will see that I used the number journaling card to play into documenting my boys’ bus time. (Which I spelled out using Elle’s new LETTER STICKERS.)
Here I used that same number tag which can be found in the Everday Moments Journaling pack and layered it with a Silhouette cut I created to document lunch time.
Don’t be afraid to use the 3×4 journaling tags in the 4×6 inserts. They work great layered with smaller photos.
Next up, a beautiful layout by the talented contributing team member : Jen Chapin.
Jen used the 3×4 journaling cards to create a fun and unique background on her layout. It provides not only a great design but also ample room for layering photos, wood veneers, and her journaling.
Last but not least I put together a simple Thank You card made easy by using a 3×4 journaling card from February’s exclusive monthly kit!
See that cute little arrows and hearts stamp along the bottom? Get it HERE!
Don’t forget to snag up one of the tag kits before they are sold out!
Happy journaling!
