PROJECT LIFE: COIN POCKET PAGES

Today I am sharing my cover page for our recent trip to Walt Disney World.

It is no secret that I LOVE pocket coin protector pages.   They are perfect for a collage setting in any album.

I have used coin protector pages for my cover page for my 2014 Project Life, the cover page for my Summer 2014 project life, and now for my cover page for our Disney Vacation. I love that I can trim this pocket page down to fit any size album!

Originally, I bought this coin pocket page from Archivers, but you can find the same pocket page here.  (the openings are 2×2).

I had so much fun making this page.  I combined photos, items from Elle’s Studio Shine, Elle’s Studio’s June Kit, photos from our trip, and various maps from the parks we visited at Walt Disney World (I always grab a HANDFUL of these maps at each park!).

Above is the backside of the page.  Loved that so many pieces and transparencies were used on the opposite side.

Q&A Saturday : Getting Foodie

Question: I love the new Foodie Stamp set and journaling cards! Do you have an suggestions on how to use them?

Answer: But of course! The Date & Time stamp can be combined with the words breakfast, lunch, dinner, or coffee to make phrases like Breakfast time, lunch date, dinner time, coffee date, etc. Also, “The Best” stamp can be filled in my your own writing, BUT all the other words like breakfast, lunch, dinner, and coffee will fit in that space, too! The “dish” stamp is meant to be filled in with “dishes” like Mac&Cheese, peperoni pizza, etc. Of course, these are ONLY suggestions and you can use the stamp however you see fit!

As always, Jen Chapin has us inspired with your Project Life Page using not only the Foodie Stamp Set, Foodie Journaling Cards, but also the Foodie Wood Veneers! Yes, I said Foodie Wood Veneers ya’ll! jenchapin foodie (1)jenchapin foodie (4)Jen used the “The Best” combined with the “Dinner” stamps and stamped directly onto her photo in the lower right corner of her page to bring more focus on her fabulous meal. Thank you card video tutorial

EllesStudio-ThankYouCardsHappy Friday! I’m so excited to share with you today a new video tutorial on how I put together these thank you cards, above. They hold a gift card and make giving a gift card extra special! They are quick and easy to do, but make the gift card so much more meaningful for the person who will receive it!

Supplies used: Shine papers, Shine Extra Tidbits, Shine Labels, Fun in the Sun stamp, Check it Out stamp, and Heart wood veneers.

Sketch Thursday

Today’s sketch was inspired by Becky’s Spring Rain layout from this month’s gallery.

Our super talented DT member, Valerie played along this week and created this totally FUN layout. I love how she used lots of bright colors with multiple black and white pictures. Wonderful job, Valerie!

I loved the sketch this week (and the layout that was used to make it that Becki created!). This is my take on the grid pattern that spanned across the middle of the page. I used the Shine Collection Journal cards as the base of each grid square and layered all of them using embellishments, also from the Shine Collection. I love all the different elements that are in the Shine Collection – they are so fun to create lots of layers! With so much color, I decided to keep all of my photos of me with each of my kids black & white to let them really pop on my layout. -Valerie
