Happy Tuesday! Toni here today and I am going to show you how I used the Elle’s Studio Exclusive January Kit to document a week in October. Did you notice what I wrote there? Yup, that’s right. I used the January kit to document October! That is what I love most about Elle’s Studio monthly kits, is their versatility for any time of year.

For my left side page, I started with the awesome 4 x 6 inch donut card. Isn’t it just the cutest card ever?!? I added some simple date stamping to it and some teal letter and number stickers from the shop. My next step was to use a 4 x 6 striped card and to cut it in half to 4 x 3 inches. I then used each line of the stripe as a spot to put the date on and the white space below was perfect for journaling. The “details” cut apart piece paired perfectly with my journaling. The bottom left photo incorporates a digital brush “good times” from the January Digital Cut File. The adorable date stamp is from the You’re the Sweetest stamp set and the die cuts are from the January Monthly Kit.

The aqua and blue striped card in the bottom right has some of the new vellum hearts from the shop layered on top of one another with a heart sticker from the Let’s eat collection.

On my right side page, I started with using the aqua heart 4 x 3 card from the monthly kit. I journaled around the heart and added some heart stamps below using the You’re the Sweetest stamp set. I used two more of the cut apart pieces from the January monthly kit for two of my photos and the “Here’s the Facts” 4 x 3 card was just perfect for the rest of my journaling.

You’re The Sweetest Card by Daniela Dobson

Hi, Daniela here highlighting our January exclusive stamp set: You’re The Sweetest. I made a shaker card adding the little doughnuts to my shaker window.

I started by die cutting a circle in my patterned paper and then tracing that circle on my card base. I stamped the heart from the stamp set in that circle.

I stamped the doughnuts on white cardstock with their coordinating parts and I used my 3/4” circle punch to punch them out. I stamped the doughnuts with brown ink and colored the base with markers. I added them to the cardstock base with some beads from my stash.

I adhered acetate to the circle window and used my favorite 3D foam adhesive to add to the circle edge of the patterned paper. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set and fussy cut around the word “sweetest”.

When designing our kits, we love to think of tags that can be used as prompts to help make it easier for you to get your story started and documented, and this kit is full of that and more!

We are excited to share that our kits have grown even BIGGER and now include at least 16 3 x 4 inch tags to help you get your story documented! We worked really hard behind-the-scenes to be able to increase the amount of 3 x 4 tags you will receive each month, without increasing the price of each kit! Our kits now give you even more options for capturing and documenting your stories.

Just a reminder that our kits are limited and once they sell out we will not be restocking. I have been having SO much fun with the 12 x 12 cut file that includes some fold over hearts! You can fold them over and leave them as is so fun colors peek through, or you can stitch them, watercolor, etc. The possibilities are endless with this cut file!

Love You Card by Daniela Dobson

Hi, Daniela here with a card using my favorite colors with lots of layers. I started with the pink striped paper base and added a journaling card. Next, I layered some fun labels, stickers and bits and pieces from Cienna collection. I layered some pink thread under the heart wood veneer. To finish it off I added washi tape, sequins and some color shine splatters.

We are so excited to kick off the new year by introducing you to our 2016 Design Team! This year is going to be another great year filled to the brim with inspiration! Happy New Year!

Thank you so much for making 2015 such an awesome year – we had such a fun time here at Elle’s Studio producing new products, kits, and collections, and seeing what you created with them! We are so grateful for your support – without you, none of this would be possible, so we are sending lots of hugs and thanks to each one of you!

We are excited for 2016 and have so many things in store for the new year. A new collection is right around the corner, our 2016 design team will be announced soon, and we will be focusing on bringing even MORE inspiration to our blog! And, that’s not all! Hello 2016 by Paige Evans

Paige is sharing another fabulous layout with us today that features our Thankful collection, December kit and stamp, and Holiday Pages cut files! And, we love that she has focused on journaling her goals – have you set any goals for the new year?

Here’s how Paige says the layout came together: 1. Scale the star page from the Holiday Pages cut file to cover an entire 12×12 page, then cut the stars from a paper from the Thankful collection.

2. Back the stars with dimensional adhesive and patterned papers, die cuts, and the cards used in product packaging.

3. Use glue dots to attach all of the white acrylic stars over the page.

4. Layer tags, cards, die cuts, (from the December kit) and a photo across the bottom and add a die cut banner at the top.

5. Stamp “GOALS” from the “Love and Thanks” stamp on a tab, from the December kit, and tuck it under the top edge of the photo.

6. Cut out the “2016” from the tag from the December kit and adhere in a slight curve with pop dots.

7. Place the Cienna “hello” wood veneer piece above the numbers to finish the title.

8. Print goals in a typewriter font (I used Traveling Typewriter) and adhere them across the top of the layout.

Isn’t this layout so fun?! We love how it turned out and how all the pieces from different collections and kits coordinated – thanks so much for sharing with us today, Paige!

Documenting December with Daniela Dobson

Welcome to the Elle’s Studio blog post today. It’s Daniela here to sharing a holiday project highlighting Joyful collection.

Last month I shared my Traveler’s Notebook for documenting my December 2015. Today I will share the inside pages that are still work in progress. I will share the completed project on my blog at the end of December.

You will notice that all my pages will look similar with stamping on the top and bottom, washi tape, stamped numbers and then some kid of layering with journaling cards and tags. I am using the Joyful collection, along with the Joyful stamp, Tis The Season Stamp, December Kit, November kit, and I will be digging into my stash trying to pull out the colors that match this collection.

I still need to fill in my journaling, but I have been taking notes on my phone each day so that I remember. It’s been super busy around here, but whenever I get a chance I print photos and add them here.

For day five I wanted to include both photos so I adhered them to patterned paper that is attached with washi tape. I am able to flip the photos up and add journaling to the ‘tis the season tag that is underneath.

For day six I used a tag that I had and added embossing paste with a star stencil to the background. I created a pocket with a piece of vellum that I had in my stash. The “grateful for” tags are from an older exclusive kit that was left over. I keep everything and I never got to use these tags and now was a perfect opportunity. If you don’t have something similar, Joyful – Blank labels would be perfect. I don’t have a specific photo for this day and I was going to list things that I am grateful for at the moment.

I need to adhere the photos that I have printed next, and then print the photos for all the other days. Since I have been keeping up with my photos and journaling on my phone, it shouldn’t take long.

I placed all my needed supplies in a Antonius basket insert that sits on top of my Raskog cart. Everything I will need is all together and I can bring it out and move it to wherever I am to record my December memories.
