However, that doesn’t mean that I can’t document our Christmas memories with traditional layouts, and I have one to share with you today using the December exclusive kit and add-ons!

This simple layout, which documents the selection of our tree, was inspired by the “to-do list” card in the December exclusive kit. I was thinking about what Christmas projects have been crossed off of our list, and at the time, it was only the tree and decorations. So, I decided to make this card the central focus of the layout, with my 3″ x 4″ photos flanking it, and paper from the Tis the Season collection, as well as tags from the kit strewn around the photos.

I kept a simple color scheme of green and teal, accented with gold. Wood veneer also added to the warm neutrals on the layout, and the “deck the halls” piece was perfect to use with the photo of the decorated tree.

I stamped my title with the upper and lowercase Malia alphabet stamps, then added a Christmas tree with the Tis the Season stamp, which I decorated with sparkly gold glitter.

Hello all, Michelle here! Working with the holiday themed products from Elle’s Studio is something that I look forward to all year. The bright and cheerful colors included in the collections and kits always seem to work really well with all the photos that I take during this time of year, including this fun picture I took of my youngest in front of an inflatable reindeer.

Working with the exclusive December Kit, along with the ‘Tis the Season collection, I aimed for a grid-like design. I went with a multi-color scheme here to match the festive feel of the photo. I loved the “Cheers!” cut file that was included in this month’s exclusives and made it really pop of the page by using a red patterned paper to cut it out of.  The fabulous date stamp also made an appearance on the layout and I can’t not tell you much fun it adds to the layout! I know I will be using this stamp again and again.
