Hello, Elle’s friends. It’s me, Sarah, hosting today’s blog post, and I wanted to show you how to get extra use from the Sincere Sentiments Congrats Stamp. Hint: It’s not just for creating cards!
As a scrapbooker creating layouts or traveler’s notebook spreads, sentiment stamps can be intimidating. How do you use it on something that’s not a card?!
Here’s what I came up with:
Supplies | April 2022 Kit, Heart and Star Chipboard Stickers – Cool, Warm Puffy Heart and Star Stickers, The Best Paper Stack, Sincere Sentiments Congrats Stamp, Sincere Sentiments Congrats Metal Die
I focused on using the Sincere Sentiments Congrats Stamp to get this layout done, and I’m glad I did because I had a lot of fun playing with my inks on this one!
After stamping “Congrats” in a variety of colors, I used the Sincere Sentiments Congrats Metal Die to cut out die-cuts that were used to embellish my layout.
To pull the layout together, I first stamped some of those gorgeous circular bursts directly onto my white background cardstock to create a patterned paper look.
Then, I framed a couple of my photos with 3 x 4 inch cards from the April 2022 Kit and some patterned paper from The Best Paper Stack.
I arranged my two photos toward the center of the layout, so I could layer all of the “Congrats” die cuts that were cut out. I then positioned the “Congrats” die cuts down the center of my page. I even layered some on top of my photo to give my layout more dimension.
To bring out even more color on my layout, I added coordinating Warm Puffy Heart and Star Stickers and some of the blue and green stars from the Heart and Star Chipboard Stickers.
Lastly, don’t be afraid to use all of the sentiments on your stamp sets. I stamped some directly onto my photos using an archival ink to prevent smearing. I also used sentiments from the stamp set to layer on top of the “Congrats” die cuts I made.
What do you think of this Sincere Sentiments Congrats Stamp in action on a layout? I love that all of Elle’s stamps, like this one, can be used for any type of project! Here, I used the sentiments to bring out lots of colors.
