Hello! We’re excited to be back for day two of Stamp Week. All week, our amazing design team is sharing fresh, new ideas and inspiration using our favorite stamps in the shop. Today, design team member Katarina Prevendarova is with us to share her love for our most popular alphabet stamp: JANE! Let’s see how she used a few variations of our Jane stamps to create a gorgeous page!
Hi friends! It’s Katarina back with you again, bringing a lot of stamping and die cutting goodness today!
This time, I played with some of my most favorite Elle’s Studio products: the Large and Medium Jane Alpha Stamps and Metal Dies.
Supplies | April 2021 Kit, Smile Cardstock Die Cuts, Adventure Puffy Label Stickers, Acetate Heart Stickers, Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers – Cool Tones, Smile Wood Veneers, Celebrate 6 x 8.5 inch Paper Stack, XOXO 6 x 8.5 inch Paper Stack, Medium Jane Alphabet Stamp – Outline, Medium Jane Alphabet Stamp – Solid, Large Jane Alphabet Stamp – Outline, Large Jane Alphabet Metal Die
I started by applying light blue watercolor to a white piece of cardstock, adding lots of splatters too. I was documenting a fun story of my son painting his hands and everything around him, so splatters matched this theme as they had been practically everywhere that day!
While my background was drying, I took my stamps and dies and started working on my long title. These products can be used in so many ways. I stamped some of my words with the outline Large Jane Alphabet Stamp on two journaling tags from the April Kit and a very neutral paper from the XOXO 6 x 8.5 inch Paper Stack. I also used these stamps with a white watercolor cardstock. I stamped them with black archival ink and used the Large Jane Alphabet Metal Die to cut them all out. I dipped the ones stamped on a watercolor paper into watercolor puddles to achieve an uneven colored, interesting look.
I popped all of the die cut letters up on foam squares to give them more dimension. I wanted the last part of my title to be less prominent and therefore I stamped it right on the background paper with the smaller outline Medium Jane Alphabet Stamp. Next I used the solid Medium Jane Alphabet Stamp and stamped the words again a little bit offset. I really love this effect!
I hand cut my photo in an oval shape, backed it with the pretty dark blue patterned paper from the Celebrate 6 x 8.5 inch Paper Stack and used it as letter “O” in the word “color.”
I didn’t want to go too embellishment heavy, as I really wanted my title to stand out. Therefore, I only created very small clusters using the pretty April add-ons. I also placed some of the amazing new Acetate Heart Stickers over the letters. Isn’t the see through effect cool?
I really love how the Large and Medium Jane Alphabet Stamps helped me create a bold and interesting title that tells the story of my layout. These stamps together with the dies are simply a must have! I hope my project was inspiring for you in some way and that you grab your stamps and create something beautiful!
