Our Bright Die Cut Labels are a new, happy edition to the shop, to bring all of the colors of the rainbow to your projects. Pair them with our newest stamp, Oh Happy Day, and the creative possibilities are endless. We love the way that Kristina Proffitt used both of these products to tell the story of her son at age five, and we know it will inspire you to think of different ways to add the facts to your projects! Let’s take a look!
Kids grow up so fast (sigh) and I’m always looking for fun ways to document what my kids are loving at different ages during their lives. When I pulled out the Bright Die Cut Labels and the Oh Happy Day Stamp, I knew that combining both of them on a layout would be a fun way to jot down some of Luke’s current favorites.
Supplies | Bright Die Cut Labels, Black Puffy Alphabet Stickers, Large Jane Alphabet Stamp – Outline, Oh Happy Day Stamp, Here and Now Stamp, Dated Stamp, Acrylic Stamp Block – 3 inch Round, Noteworthy Epoxy Stickers, Noteworthy 6 x 6 Paper Stack, Noteworthy 12 x 12 Paper Collection
I have always been a huge fan of labels, but these Bright Die Cut Labels totally made me squeal! Labels are so versatile—you can use them for SO much—and I just love the happy colors, too! I decided to stack the labels along the right edge of my layout to give me some cute spots to add a journaling list of things that my son Luke is loving right now at age 5. I let the labels hang off of the edge and then just simply trimmed the excess away. I
Then I pulled out the super cute icons in the Oh Happy Day Stamp and began stamping the icons, one on each label, so that I could interview my son and ask him what his favorite things that correlated with the stamp were. This interview was not only fun, but I always love recording my kids’ answers to questions. I’m usually surprised by some of their answers! I highly recommend interviewing your kids a couple of times a year!
After I stamped the icons onto the labels, I hand-journaling his answers, added some simple Noteworthy Epoxy Stickers, and gave each label a little staple on the end. I
I wouldn’t call myself a great stamper by any means, but the stamps that Elle’s Studio has are so easy to use and so versatile and I’ve found that the trick for being more confident in your stamping is simply just using them more!
For the title of the layout, I stamped out “LUKE” using the Large Jane Alphabet Stamps onto some patterned papers from the Noteworthy 6 x 6 Paper Stack, cut them out and then adhered them to the page. I used another Bright Die Cut Label below the name to continue the title and stamped “favorite” on it using the Here and Now Stamp. SO fun! Of course I had to pull out the Dated Stamp for the date because well, it’s a favorite and once again, SO versatile. I
I used another Bright Die Cut Label, cut the circle in half and used it to stamp a camera icon, from the Oh Happy Day Stamp, and added his age on it with my handwriting and then a number 5 Black Puffy Alphabet Sticker. I love it just peeking above the photo like that.
I stamped the prize ribbon from the Oh Happy Day Stamp on white cardstock, cut it out and placed a Noteworthy Epoxy Sticker in the middle of it. You can create so many different ribbons with this stamp! Love it!
If you don’t have the Oh Happy Day Stamp or the Bright Die Cut Labels, I highly encourage you to get them and use them! You will LOVE them and how versatile they are for any project that you are working on, plus they are SO cute!
